Amazing what has been realised here, and still under construction. Great temple complex which makes a visit a great pleasure. Although very popular thus crowded there are still enough quiet places for a meditation. Very friendly environment

Beautiful big Buddha statue. Lots of small aesthetically pleasing statues. Story paintings narrated in English. A crazy cool looking new wihan being built. This place is great. Go on off time tho because it looks like it gets busy

The story of Khun Phaen and Khun Chang told in a compelling series of paintings. All Thais learn the story at school but for foreigners, it is all explained with each picture accompanied by a plaque in English as well as Thai. Highly recommended!

Maybe one of the nicest temples. Located in the middle of the rice fields. Big statues surround the temple it self with a nice garden. Lot of flowers. The gardener here is Very good. Refreshments, some fast food and souverniers can be bought. Recommended👍

Wat Pa Lelai Worawihara Wat Pa Lelai Worawihara is located on the banks of ThaChin River in Mueng district, Suphanburi Province. The termple has the royal insignia of King Rama IV, which shows that it is a royal termple. According to historical records, before succeeding to the throne, King Rama IV was a monk and it was during that time that he was responsible for founding Wat Pa Lelai Worawihara. After he became the king, King Rama IV had the termple restored to its former glory. From original assumption that this Temple was built in the U-thong period, later when having found the ancient materials enough to support and refer, so it is believed that this Wat Palelai Worawihara is not less than Thawaravadi period of 1, 000 years ago. It could be said that this Temple is invaluable to Suphanburi province and Thailand.

Phra Pa Lelai in wihara is assumed to have been formerly built in the posture of giving the Thammachak Sermon. Buddha 's delivery of this first sermon was like to set of the wheel of Buddhism or Dhamma. A Buddha image called Luang Pho-To is housed in the wihara of the temple. This image is massive reaching a height of 23. 47 meters. The image is a seated image in a posture known as Palilayaka, which is considered to be European style of seating. You can see the seated Buddha image accepting oferings from an elephant and monkey, which is a typical art form of U-Thong Suphannaphum era. The face of the image, built in 826 during the reign of King Suwannaracha. The hand was later changed to lay on the lap in the posture of pa lelai, with the figure, now disappeared, of a monkey lifting a beehive and an elephant lifting a water in offering to the Buddha.

Nowadays WatPalclai Worawihara under the administration and Supervision of the abbot named PhraDham Buddhimongkol, organizes the study of three sections, they are Dhamma, Pali and Hight Education.

Every year, the temple holds 2 festivals to pay hotmage to the huge Buddha image housed in the temple.

I impressed with the large Buddha statue that makes you feel peaceful in your mind when you look at the face of this Buddha statue.

The main building surrounded by fine art such as the drawing and sculpture.

There has the large parking and cleanly buildings and all area.

Yes, this temple have many souvenir shops, amulet shops, street food and restaurants.

Easy access to this place because located at the roadside and too many navigate sign.
