Small airport surrounding with mountain. Have car taxi and morocycle taxi outside, and the best one is its in center of Mae Hong Son town.

the first time I landed there 1997 thai airways b-737 and it was like landing in the jungle. As we came down you could see nothing but trees on both sides of the plane and it is also an extremely short runway with a mountain at the other end. Being a pilot myself it was a very exciting landing and the takeoff as well. The airport is very nice and loved Mai Hong Son, the second time I landed there of course I new what to expect but some other passengers where very scared on the landing. The round trip ticket from Chiang Mai was 16$ US or about 500 baht, if you have the chance go to Mai Hong Son.

Flying here is easy and quick. The planes who fly here are small. So A lot of fun 👌🏼

Bonjour. En 1990 chiang mai mae hong son en avion. 35 minutes 350 bath.. 5 vol par jour depuis chiang mai. Incroyable. Le soir les momes jouaient au foot sur la piste...en bus il fallait 17 heures... ça a changé visiblement.

Der kleinste flughafen den ich je gesehen habe, klein und wirklich beeindruckend.....komme gerne immer wieder, trotz gefahr das wegen dem smoke die flieger nicht starten......
