Wachu Hounoki

An excellent combination of fine Chinese food made in Japanese style. We really enjoyed it, the cuisine is very unique, it is difficult to find Chinese fine dining and even more difficult a very good one. The overall food was great, we love the mixture of Japanese ingredients into typical Chinese dish. I especially like the honey pork and the crab roll. Minor comment is that the 11-course is still quite small, I don't feel totally full by the end of the meal. My wife was quite full though, so it may depends on your appetite.

The atmosphere is great, the dining room is spacious with good lighting. Unlike many omakase restaurants where it feels like a tight wooden box, the setting here is serene with a large window, high ceiling and with a small stone garden. Chef Hounoki prepares the dish right in front of you.

Overall, an excellent experience, will definitely go again!

The marriage between Japanese and Chinese food brings the best of both worlds. Thoroughly enjoyed most courses, especially Chinese sake (first course) and fish maw (the soup was so comforting). Chef was very charismatic and engaging.

Surprisingly ! Omakase Chinese cuisine with Japanese style premium ingredients by Chef Hounoki , I really enjoyed it , How amazing the mixture of Japanese and Chinese food brings the best of both. serves 12 course menu , i especially like the honey pork , Anago Soy milk mochi was so amazing and one of the best is Shirako mapo tofu abit spicy taste but can top up more because i eat alot too.
this restaurant is totally different and great experiences located at ekmai soi 12 really worth to try …👍🏻

Amazing experience! Very friendly staff and great food. We did the omakase special where the chef makes everything for you in front of you and explains all the different dishes. I would highly recommend it!!

The Place is made for sushi but the you couldn’t miss their cocktails.

The Sushi experience ranks one of my top places in Bangkok right away.
Each plate has its very unique presentation and very well balanced taste.
I came the very first days of their new menu so it might take a lil more time to have them settle with the flow.

The cocktails are and will be one the best cocktail in Bangkok. Perfect balance to pair with each plate and very enjoyable on its own sip.
Their mocktails should need some refinement to perfect but still worth trying.

So after 2 hours long journey. I feel very warm at heart and my stomach. Would come back again.

One of the better tier 1 (4000-10,000 THB) omakase in Bangkok. They focus on getting chef with Michelin star experience. To be fair I think their sous chef is already quite capable (having been formerly at Hinata). The current chef came from a Macau 2 stars and while I honestly am not as impressed by such thing, I have to say the end result for this particular chef is rather good. As a bonus the bartender is impressive having apprenticed under one of the best and having the ability to carve the ice for each glass he served.

There are two omakase courses. 4500++ and 6500++. The difference is of course the amount and certain more premium ingredients. As a rule of thumb, I will usually try to cheaper one of it’s my first time. If I return, I’ll try the more expensive one on my second visit.

Amazing Omakase fine dining experience with some of the freshest and most tasty Sushi I have ever had in Thailand. The chef did a magnificent job which was also very entertaining with some great drink pairings.

Best Omasake experience! The bar attached to the omasake really elevated the experience. The staff were really friendly and explained everything. They were all very knowledgable about the menu. Amazing place!

Never try this restaurant yet..But looking forward to try soon.

🇭🇰 ร้านโอมากาเสะอาหาร Chūka หรือพูดให้เข้าใจง่ายก็คืออาหารจีนสไตล์ญี่ปุ่นนั่นแหละ เชฟ Hounoki เป็นชาวญี่ปุ่นที่เคยทำงานร้านอาหารจีน 1 ดาวในโตเกียวมาเป็น 10 ปี มื้อนี้ชอบแทบทุกจานโดยเฉพาะ appetizer อย่าง Chinese Sake ที่เชฟเอาปลา Otoro ไปหมักกับเหล้าจีน อร่อยสดชื่นสุดๆ ส่วนเดอะเบสของคอร์สนี้ขอยกให้กับจานเนื้อ!! วากิว A5 หมักพริกไทดำเอาไปย่างแล้วมาโรยด้วย spice powder ที่ทำจากเกล็ดขนมปังเสิร์ฟมาพร้อมกับ gratin ฮืออ รสชาติถึงเครื่อง เนื้อนุ่มๆบวกกับความกรุบกรอบจากผงที่โรยมา ถูกใจไม่ไหว 🥹🥹 นอกจากอาหารในคอร์สแล้วร้านก็ยังมีอีกสองเมนูพิเศษให้สั่งเพิ่มได้คือหูฉลามและหมู Chashu Honey ซุปกลมกล่อมหูฉลามเต็มปากเต็มคำ เดี๋ยวไว้รอบหน้าจะจัดหมูมาลองบ้าง

โดยรวมมื้อนี้ประทับใจทั้งรสชาติอาหาร บริการและราคา ได้กลับมาซ้ำแน่นอน เห็นเป็นร้านไฟน์ไดน์อย่างนี้ จะบอกว่าหลัง 4 ทุ่มนี่แปลงร่างเป็นบาร์ค็อกเทลเก๋ไม่เบาเลยล่ะ นั่งชิวยาวๆกันได้เลย 😍🍸
