J Bar & Cafe

A great little bar for drinks or / and food.

J Bar is located just across the street from W District. I like this quirky little area. It used to be a ‚mall‘ back in the 90s. Probably more like a department store. You wouldn’t know if you don’t know. Now there are plenty of cute bars, coffeeshops or bakeries in this area. But also plenty of local shops and some living.

J Bar has been around for quite some time. When I first moved to Bangkok in 2018 it has been well established. Well before most of the other places opened up. And it hasn’t lost any of its charm and quality.

J Bar is great if you want to grab a drink. Or if you want to have some Western food. Both come with very fair prices. Audience is mostly expats. But it still provides a local vibe.

casual western food reasonably priced. Decent quality in a quiet alley. Recommend . I liked the oregano option for the pizza. Good idea.
I guess during summer time it will be quite warm to sit outside though.

After walking around to three different bars in the rain finally found this by that would put the Formula 1 on for watching for me. Not only that but they serve pretty good pizza. Nice crispy base really appreciate the flexibility and yeah nice chilled bar off the main road.

The waitresses are very nice and friendly.
The price is very reasonable. The parking lots is available close to the restaurant.

J Bar & Cafe serves surprisingly good pizzas with crisp crusts and well-balanced toppings, alongside refreshing drinks. Worth a visit for a straightforward, tasty meal.

Nice little restaurant tucked away near the BTS station at Prakanong. The place was quite busy for a Wednesday night. The food was good but a little bit pricy. I had the goats cheese pizza which was delicious although I would have liked as bit more goats cheese and less bell peppers. My wife had the Camembert burger which was greatly enjoyed.

Lived Bangkok 3 years ate all around best steak I have ate in the city! And i have ate many! Well cooked, great flavor, tender and juicy, nice size, worth a stop if your in Phra Khanong.

Amazing food!! Great selection of Beer too. Been coming back often since first discovering it.

A proper local with a great menu, reasonable prices and wonderful staff.

The specials menu is updated regularly and there is often something new and interesting to try. I'm a big fan of the Tikka Masala Pizza.

Im lucky to live around the corner from this place. Awesome steaks (for Bangkok) at an awesome price. The Thai food is done perfectly too. Nice and clean with friendly English speaking service. This is a typical outdoors Thai style place with no AC so if you want chilled air, go to a hotel and pay 4x the price for a steak. In fact, after several visits here, I can tell you that this is one of the best places in Bangkok to get an tasty, edible steak and not get ripped off. Update: Three years later, same place, same owner, same GREAT FOOD. Killer steaks still, thank God, man does not live by noodles alone. I live on the other side of town but regardless, just a train ride for me and I'll be back again and again as long as I'm in Bangkok.

A very relaxing and nice bar a bit off the busy Sukhumvit road. The service here is great, the staff is very friendly and as a bonus you have felines roaming around.
It's probably the most relaxing place I've found in Bangkok so far, as there's mainly locals here and it's not in the main walking paths of the area. It's only 1 min walk from Sukhumvit but still very quiet.
I think it was around 100thb for a pint of asahi, which is very good. The food which was served around me also looked quite good.

The steak is perfectly perfectly cooked and tender.
Small portion comes with fries and fresh salad is only 290 baht!
So good!

Good value of money, yummy food and cozy atmosphere. (Steak has too little fat, would recommend burger more)

Great value for quality, attentive service and a nice open plan design. The place is perfect to chill with friends, watch a football match or simply have some great comfort food paired with well-crafted drinks. Will definitely return!

Loved every second, f*kin phenomenal. But on a real note service is on point, food is amazing, drinks are dope and reasonably priced. 10 out of 10 will come back again. I came for the football and now i will back for the service, atmosphere and food. Good on ya mate keep it movin

Always like the food and drinks here. And of course the staff are amazing!! Love their Special Menu Australian Mussels

Food quality is surprisingly good for the price. It's an outdoor space so can get a bit warm but they have fan etc to keep cool. Cheap drinks and good service. Quite a small place with limited seating but never had any issues with social distancing. Recommend this place and will return
