This Michelin-starred upscale restaurant welcomes guests in casual clothes.

I enjoyed Massaman Curry and Prawn Pad Thai during my visit. The curry was milder than expected, yet its thick soup was richly flavored with a variety of spices.

The Pad Thai featured prawns that were perfectly cooked, adding a delightful taste and enhancing the dish beautifully.

The service was both professional and attentive. I'm definitely planning to return.

Came with friend’s recommendation. Wasn’t disappointed at all! I thought I could have the tasting menu since I was alone and that would have allowed me to try more dishes. Was told that it has to be ordered in advance. I had the reservation made the night before.

I was able to try several dishes despite being alone. The mango salad was the best for me. Best that I had tried so far. Would definitely go back with more people.

I’ve been here many times and ordered quite various menu, but this time I went during I was on vegan period, they also have a great variety of vegan food. Such as spicy grilled eggplant and spicy larb tofu. The tastes were good as well. The Thai desserts are pretty tasty, I like the fried sweet potato with pandan leaf cream in particular. Very well fired and not oily at all.

Well deserved for Michelin star. One of the most delicious Thai food with one Michelin star. The taste is fabulous for both local thai and tourist flavor, very well established.

I would say it is one of quite a few Michelin star restaurants that can execute local Thai food in maintaining authentic taste. It can be revisit again and again since it is more like everyday restaurant, not too fancy nor not too casual. The atmosphere is very nice. Also the booking is quite manageable

This authentic Thai restaurant is well deserving of the Michelin Star! The food is exceptional, we tried the crab 🦀 meat Omelette, chicken green curry and the Creamy Tom Yum Soup with Giant River Prawns and all are delicious. The service is attentive and friendly. This is a hidden gem in Bangkok! A must try! Kudos for a job well done! We will come back again soon.

Lunch at Khao was a delightful experience, despite its distance from BTS. (Around 15-min walk from Ekkamai BTS station) The ambiance was fantastic, the service impeccable, the food delicious, and all at a reasonable price for a Michelin restaurant. I recommend Khao if you enjoy Thai cuisine in a comfortable setting.

A fantastic dinner at Khao. We had pad Thai and two different curries. They all were some of the best Thai dishes I have ever had. I have had the chance to dine at some great Thai restaurants and this was competitive on the food with all of them. Definitely want to return.

Although it has 1 Michelin star, this isn’t a fine dining experience, it’s a place to enjoy great food and hospitality, with some unique dessert selections that I haven’t had anywhere else in Bangkok.

The best Thai restaurant here in Bangkok, it is the best price/performance for sure. Atmosphere is very warm and cozy, friendly staff, open kitchen. $140 for 6 of us, with drinks and we could not finish our food.

Amazing restaurant with extraordinary food. I strongly recommend:
-sea blite salad with prawns
-duck meat in Larb mixture and pan-seared foie gras
-lamb shank in Mussaman curry
-stir fried crab meat with yellow chilies
Bon appetit!

The staff was amazing. we actually got there 30 minutes before they opened since we went by taxi, but they let us in to the waiting area and gave us the menu to see. 15 minutes later they let us to the best table of the restaurant and took our drink orders. Once they were opened they prepared our food really fast, and the staff was always around and always taking care of us. Now for the food, I really can say they deserve that Michelin star. Every single dish was delicious that even my teenage daughter and my 7 year old daughter really enjoyed.

Great thai fine dining experience.
Food was beautifully executed. Thai dishes with a touch of influence from other cultures.
The restaurant was spacious and airy and service was very good.
Good to come with a big group so that you can try and share the dishes.
We tried a few of the dishes that were recommended by the Michelin guide but they fell short of expectations.
We had the crab roe relish which was too fishy for our taste and the sago wrapped strawberries which although was very instagramable, did not taste as interesting as the sago “wrap” fell off the strawberry when we tried to pick it up.
But there were also some really excellent dishes like the crispy pork belly and curry lamb. Their “normal” thai dishes like Green curry and crab curry were very good.

I’ll start with what I didn’t like. The reception/management staff were cold and standoffish. When we arrived, there was no one to receive us for about 5 mins, and obviously I understand they were busy, but they also didn’t make eye contact or tell us what to do when they walked by. Also they didn’t acknowledge us when leaving the restaurant. You may think I’m making a fuss out of nothing, but that’s the entire job of reception. That is in very stark contrast to the wait staff, who were very polite and welcoming.

That being said, the food was really delicious, well presented, and also surprisingly affordable. The menu is really huge and I think it’s best for groups so you can try more dishes. I’d recommend the crab omelette which was truly outstanding, pomelo salad, and the lamb shank curry. the pad Thai was oddly below par and too sweet.

Environment wise, you should make bookings to get the ones at the windows which are more spacious. We were assigned a table near the bar with people constantly walking past and it did not feel exclusive.

So basically cheers to the restaurant for keeping prices relatively low, keeping the menu extensive and delicious, but the reception/manager seriously needs to look at their attitude and service standards.

I just arrived to Bangkok and my boyfriend surprised me to this beautiful dinner which he was lucky to find a spot for the day before. The interior is elegant and sattle, when we arrived they seated us whilst waiting for the table and handed us the menu in the meanwhile.
The staff is extremely gentle and kind. When they seated us we were ready to order. We got pad Thai, Carry, chicken wrapped in some sort of leaves and pork soup, with mango sticky rice and 2 cocktails. Everything was absolutely phenomenal. The pork soup and the beginning was light and somewhat fresh despite being a soup, the carry was full of flavour, intense and silky in the mouth!
The mango sticky rice was the best thing ever eaten in my life!
I definitely had the best Start for this travel which is set to be amazing after being at KHAO! It deserves the Micheline star!
