Loving this new, Laotian restaurant. The food is excellent with all the flavors spot on. Don’t miss out in the crispy rice salad, it’s addicting. The funk music playing in the background and the cool, dim lighting makes Funky Lam a great spot to hang with friends. Oh, the bone marrow soup is to die for!!!

Nice location in vibrant thong lor but still a bit hidden in an alley. Excellent Laos fusion food with a good range of choices, perfect for sharing. Ambience and music are well matching with the venue and decor.

Great food and cocktails! Design is cool and music was chill and fitting to the restaurant! We decided to try Funky Lam after our friends recommended the place to us and I am Glad we did! Perfect for a date night! Khun “Sand” our waiter was very attentive, friendly and professional! We look forward to visiting Funky Lam again! Thank you!

Had a lovely dinner with friends, menu was full of all sorts of yummy dishes. We are and dined and had a great night. This restaurant is a perfect tapas style dinner. 5 star.

Fantastic Loas food with the twist!!!
Cozy space, nice ambient with western beat, not many tables are served, should book in advance. Service is good, no pushy, well recieved recommend/suggestion from waiters ~ they are polite & super friendly 👍

Great upscale restaurant serving Laotian food with a twist.
We came here with our two kids aged 4 & 1,5 years and at first felt a little out of place after realizing how nice of a restaurant Gunky Lam actually is. We were quickly put at ease by the kind and extremely attentive staff. They provide baby chairs and children’s cutlery and were quick to suggest some kid-friendly meals of their menu.
The food was of very good quality and taste matching the relatively high price
point.
We would be more than happy to come back if in town again!

Great food lovely ambience. Was very lively on Saturday night.. they have somen good choice of fusion food.

Were all familiar with isaan lao food in cheap or street food but the same cuisine can be taken to a much higher level. And this place does it better than others. The wine and cocktails will not disappoint. They have many robust wines that stand up to the strong flavors of the food.

One of the absolute best places we are out whole trip. We felt so lucky having venture down the soi (road) just enough to see their sign. Excellent northern Thai and Lao food with contemporary takes. Very cozy and hip at the same time, accentuated by world class service who all seemed proficient in English. Go here!

Amazing food! The beef jerkey is really amazing. The vegan grilled pork, tempeh larb and seaweed salad is great. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, service is really good too! Will definitely come back !!

Love at first, sip, bite and tune. Came for the first time this evening, had a signature cocktail the 'Lazy Sour' which was decent. Dinner was the Lin Seen, braised and smoked ox tongue which was incredible. Hands down the best tongue dish I've had, melt in your mouth and the spicy dipping sauce pairs wonderfully and they serve salad leave, flowers and vegetables that help cool the spice and give a freshness to the dish. I also had the Hoy Sai Oua clams, Sai oua sausage and spicy tomato broth, So incredibly delicious. The music really works, funky soul disco, together with the decor created a cool casual but sophisticated atmosphere that works so well. I know I will definitely becoming back for the roasted marrow bone and some more cocktails soon

If you like Thai food, chances are you like Northern and Northeastern Thai cuisine (aka Isan food) which dérives from Lao cuisine and culture. It’s just much less sweet and more pungent. Don’t expect 100% authentic Lao cuisine: the dishes here are elevated, using imported Wagyu and organic produce. A few dishes are also of Vietnamese origin such as the crazy bone marrow Pho. The beverage list has matching cocktails and one of the most interesting wine selections in town for Southeast Asian cuisine. Located in an vibrant venue that is café by day and Lao restaurant and bar by night. Don’t hesitate to ask the server how 🔥🔥🔥 you want your food.

Best of the best! 5 star food for the same price of the tourist traps you can find near the river. This is sooooo much more worth it!! Creative cuisine with flavour and high quality ingredients.

Great food incredible flavors and very good combinations of Laos food and modern concept the beef was just fabulous and the duck laab was just so good. I can really recommend the restaurant both for their food and their atmosphere
