Wat Rai Tang Tong

A famous temple for locales interm of financial blessings from the previous abbot. Beautiful wooden sanctuary with unique statute of the previous abbot on the turtle. A huge Buddha's image is under construction.

Thai Buddhists are familiar with Luang Pu Liu from Wat Rai Tang Tong around the country. They visit Luang Pu Liu and Phaya Tao Ruean to make wishes for themselves and their loved ones' well-being. As the Phaya Tao Ruean (turtle) symbolizes longevity and good health, amulets of Luang Pu Liu and Phaya Tao Ruean are said to possess holy powers of health.

Very local temple where you can pray and make wishes for yourself or your family. Visitors here are almost 99% locals. Great to enjoy the Thai culture and pray to seek enlightenment.

Remember to go under the giant monk riding the golden tortoise statue , because the locals believe it will bring you all the blessings. Try putting a coin under the belly of the tortoise, you be amazed that the coin will stick to it without any glue.

This temple is made famous by the late LP Liew monk master and his turtle amulets which are well known not only in Thailand but also the neighboring countries. Inside the main chapel, you can go in to worship the giant gold statue of LP Liew riding the turtle and make some donation there. Around the temple compound, there is also a local market selling fresh items at affordable price.

Most respectful with excellent location for citizens to pray respects and all Buddhism to see how miracle here in Thailand.

The location: You have to rent a car or drive here as per the temple located in the middle of rice filed and local areas. However it was great location and paying attention here.

Many local food here during the weekend. Please avoid weekday you may not find much food instead of fresh market to refill your kitchen.

This temple is not far from Bangkok and it has clean airs and on weekend it will has local fresh vegetable market in the temple area, very cheap, there are too many Thai sweets, appetizer and snack sale for everyone taste. Most important thing is Architecture of the chapel of this temple.

Excellent temple to visit although it's 2 hours drive from bangkok but worth the effort. There's a bone setting session which is rare when we were there.

Great place to worship LP Liew

Not crowned, beautiful big statue of 'Lung pu Leaw' sit on the 'Great Turtle' in the temple. Good for making merit and find some local thai desserts, snacks or foods around here with cheap price.

We love this Wat, very serene and welcoming. It’s a typical Wat but with our love of turtles and the history here, it’s a special place for us. I wear a gold turtle amulet daily purchased here.
