Chong Khao Seafood

We are visiting Thailand since 10 years and this was one of the best place with seafood. We were here 6 years ago and now, and the quality of food and service is beyond.

Surprisingly affordable. We ordered the regular grilled prawns instead of tiger prawns and these were still pretty big and super fresh.

Fried shrimp cake is skippable in my opinion. Kids would love it but on its own there isn't much shrimp in it. Nice as a snack.

The coconut curry was really spicy. Was expecting a red seafood curry type but this wasn't it.

Loved the ambience - there's a outdoor area in the garden where it was quite cooling.

Fresh seafood at unbelievable prices. Very impressed with the huge prawns, fresh solid meat and sweet creamy roe! There's no pricing for the seafood on the menu but feel free to ask the price.
We didnt ask and was impressed that the price was really reasonable when we paid. They did not overcharge us even though we're tourists and did not discuss the price when ordering.
They have nice outdoor seatings so if you wanna chill and chitchat and drink it's a great place!

This place is very highly recommended because their food is awesome. We ordered almost 6 different dishes and we weren't disappointed by any. Each of their dish especially their prawns has its own unique taste and you will surely desire more. The black pepper crab cooked with black mushrooms is another one of my personal favorites. I would say if you come to hatyai ensure you visit this places cause you will not regret it

A family style restaurant that is warm welcoming. Its staff is friendly and very accommodating to foreigners traveling through the city. The restaurant itself is only open for dinner service and technically speaking is out doors only. However they do have a large covered area for when it rains!
You have the option to choose fresh seafood from the sea at the front of restaurant and also are able to order from a menu that has a lot of options! I had the river prawn, vermicelle and shrimp, steamed sea bass with soy sauce, and shrimp omelet. The food was delicious and had various flavor profiles that differ from western cuisine. I also had a fresh coconut to drink to accompany the food.
From what I could see, the restaurant also is accommodating to large parties! They even had two separate private spaces in the back for rent.
I would highly recommend this place to seafood lovers or people with dietary restriction not being able to eat pork or beef.

Great seafood. My favorite is Black Pepper Crab and Curry Crab. Plenty of seats. There is a parking lot across the street, or you can park on the road side.
