Ko Aoun Deep Fried Bao

An old and famous steamed bun restaurant in Hat Yai. This place has recently been renovated, the inside of is clean and is a nice place to eat. There are a lot of employees and they are well organized. The food was served quickly and was quite tasty, Steamed buns and fried buns have a lot of fillings to choose from. There also have noodles and wonton soup too.

At this time, the menu is still only in Thai.
Also this place is difficult to find parking.

Open air dining with pre paid system. Super fast to serve food. No more cockles on the menu and I am so sad about this.

This shop still opens on Tuesday and the queue is crowded too. They don't have menu in English so we need to use Google translate. Very good taste and the price is reasonable too. We did come back again after the first try and order more to our family. Love it.

Fun atmosphere for a quick night snacks. The place looks crowded but the good vibe fast and the service is great. Many choices of food to choose. Fun and yummy!!

Delectable fried buns. Great value.

I would recommend custard fried bun over savoury fillings. The other restaurants in the same venue was also great. I had the yellow rice with fried chicken and it was aromatic and pleasant.

This place was full of locals and was preferred over other restaurants.

Vegetarians could have sweet filling for the steam buns which offered a nice selection.

Tasty, fast, and cheap. You just pop into the shop, order, pay, then enjoy.

Everything I ordered was tasty and it has cockles from the nearby shop too.

Their buns is fried with a conveyor machine so no need to worry about consistency. It is a decent snack to be shared.

The bun is normal, the fried bun is good, but the clams and squid is great! Spacious restaurant and good service!

Good spot for light night meal. Very delicious. Many table with many people.

Walk in, find yourself a table. Menu is the paper checklist (Thai only) on every table. Must try the fried red roasted pork bun and the fried sweet (I like the custard) bun. If you don't like fried bun there are also steam ones.

Inside the eating place is clean and the food is delicious e.g:- Fried bean curd (Toufu ), squid, squid eggs, fried chicken, glutinous rice, som-tong, milk tea, fried bun and big bun.

Outside the eating place, the street foods are delicious too...

Superb Chinese fried bun!!!! The must!!!
