Yao Medical Thai Massage

Authentic and very trained. Yao and her whole team is more than a beach front massage. You pay a few extra dollars for the service, but it is far far worth it. The massages are catered to the person and I really felt that Yao was present and worked towards what my body needed.

Probably one of the most accurate massages. Working in the health and fitness industry I often find myself frustrated at Masseuse’s just going through the motions.
Yao and her team of therapists are very knowledgable and diagnosed and treated injury without you even having to say anything. I highly recommend them over a quick beach massage anyday!

The massage aspect of this place is good. Yao was with someone when I went but the young girl I had was good and surprisingly strong. The atmosphere has a lot to be desired. It’s an open air building on a side street that is 2 feet from the massage tables. Fine road dust comes in as cars and scooters drive by. You feel the grit when they start using oil. There was a heavy set young kid watching YouTube videos loud on the couch which I had to ask to stop playing as it was so annoying he then passed out snoring so loud which was distracting. I could have walked away once I saw the facilities but I’m always hunting for a great massage and the reviews praised this place as the real deal. The massage was 4 stars the space was 1. For the price you can get just as good a massage cheaper and with AC just around the corner.

Very disappointed. I came here because I had a problem with my shoulder, which I told them about. I got Yao, and it started good. Until her grandson started crying for the entire massage so she was unable to attend me. After an hour they asked me to pay and charged me 600 bath even though the price advertised was 400 bath.

I decided to book another appointment and give it another shot anyway, since my shoulder was still hurting. I figured it was just bad luck with her grandson.

That was a huge mistake. I came back the next day and didn't get Yao, but another woman. I was simply stroked for an hour. I could tell she had no education and had no idea how to solve tension points.

Now I've paid overprice for 2 massages and they've barely touched my shoulder.

I really wanted this place to be good but I have to be honest and say it was a complete waste of time and money.

There are plenty of other good places in Lanta. Go to someone who will actually attend you well.
