Khok Samet Chun Hostel & Caffe'

Well designed, the bunk beds have privacy curtains which is nice. The staff are lovely and the whole place is clean and well equipped. It's in a great location with lots of delicious street food close by, if you're in Hat Yai and you need somewhere affordable, I can definitely recommend it!

Perfect place to relax in transit! I was tired of moving around so much while traveling and stayed 4 nights here. The staff is so so so nice (and makes yummy drinks!) and the rooms are quiet and cozy. Felt really comfortable here. There’s so much food around. Def recommend Baan Khun Buh (sp?) down the street - go for lunch and the restaurant owner will give you recs for what to try! Alsooo lots of morning, day & night market options! The area around it is easy to get around and feels safe and friendly.

unbelievably kind people! they helped me retrieve my credit card which i forgot in an atm machine. i had to leave the city earlier, so they picked it up for me and sent it to my new adress. location is perfectly central. all guests were nice!

Excellent little hostel located near everything: markets, malls etc. Staff is also very kind and helpful. They also have amazingly good coffee, even cold brews. They have hot water showers. I would also recommend the larger bed in the dorm. It's not that expensive (I paid 500 baht).
I would definitely come back as I've discovered how much I love Hat Yai.

Clean place, good bed and I slept very well for the past 2 nights. Was lucky to have considerate roommates as well.

But unlucky to be staying on the 4th level. 😅😅😅

I love their coffee in the morning and the smoking table outside at the entrance during the night where I could drink my beer, chill or chat with other people.

And it’s near to many great tasting food.

Definitely will stay here again if I do come back to Hatyai.

Great little hostel.. Very friendly staff, clean sheets, soft pillows, and a small uneven pool table make this a great spot to spend as many nights as you need.
Dorms are priced very well, and the location is right near a number of restaurants, convenience shops and laundromats, but the hostel can wash your clothes for a small fee (20 baht).

Good position, and the staffs are very polite, easygoing. The room is clean 👍🏻 They offer water and cookies as well! So sweet!

Second time staying in this hostel. Friendly and helpful host and staff. Clean room, toilet and bathroom. Good location, the hostel is located in a quiet neighborhood and yet it takes less than 10 minutes walk to the busy area. 24 hours convenient store is just right at the corner. They serve good coffee too. The best hostel in Hatyai, definitely will stay again!

Clean room, bed is neat & tidy, towel is provided and a nice quiet hostel. The lobby area is also a mini cafe to have some coffee or tea.

The hostel is located in the town area which is nearby to places with good food and malls.

The boss is a nice gentleman. A very thoughtful guy who offers help.

One thing that can be improved here is the check-in time info. In Booking.com app, it says that the check-in is 12pm but the actual check-in time at the hostel is 2pm.

So perhaps the boss can amend this info so that it won't confuse other guests as well.

Over all, everything else is good.

3yo hostel, clean, has water, hot showers bottom floors only. Good balcony. Bathroom is kinda wet most of the time

The staffs are very helpful. We spent our Christmas there and surprisingly received a Christmas present on the morning itself with our name printed outside the box. It's a small hostel and you can even chat with other guests. Only drawback is no lift if you are staying at the top floor you have to carry your own luggage up the stairs.

One of the best hostel and whether it remains so time will tell since it is only 3 months old. For hostel most important is cleanliness and hygiene. So far everything is new and cleaning seems to be done quite well. However I would suggest for guest staying a few days the management should consider changing the sheets as extra service for staying longer. The hostel lack of certain amenities such as towel and toiletries. Only shampoo and body soap is provided.
There are 3 floors with the 2nd Floor room for 6 pax and 3 floors 8 pax and doubles. The living room is on the 2nd Floor and it could be a bit noisy for the 2nd Floor room when people running up and down the stairs. I would also advise the living and dining area to have air con too since it can be quite stuffy and hot most days.
Breakfast consist of toasted breads, microwave eggs and sausages. Sometimes the lady boss will add some home cooked food so that was a nice touch. Tea and coffee and snack available whole day.
The staff usually 1 or 2 will be around were really nice and friendly. The language is passable and might be more helpful if better.
Overall a great stay and I already planned to go back there again soon.

What a view, in front of hostel. So refreshing with not many tall buildings around, consider its located in the middle of the busiest town in southern of Thailand. Closed to markets, restaurants, shopping malls and transportation. Staffs so generous to whole heartedly service right away and make you feel like home.

Good distance from Lee Garden. Nice cup of coffee with all traditional equipment. 40B

The place was well kept N maintained. Highly recommended. Great coffee from manual grinding N hand press espresso at Cafe too

Very convenience stay: near to night market, walking distance to various market and 7 eleven. The staff is very helpful and always suggest me an option of where to go and how to spend my day there. They wont hesitate to give you a lift.
