Entry fee reduced to 120 Baht for foreigners. Amazing collection and history about Opium. The halls are designed to be (semi-)interactive and the explanation is very detailed and thorough. China and Thai government collaborated on creating some visual knowledge. Overall very interesting place to visit.

Amazing museum at the golden triangle.
Gives info on the history of the opium trade from the time of the opium wars up to recent times… very interesting, been now 3 times over the years.

A very interesting museum which goes over the history of opium over the years. It wasn’t very busy when we came, which admittedly is a bit sad because it’s clear a lot of work went into this place. I would definitely recommend coming to see this place.

I'm so happy to see my grandfather's photo here again 😸 it could be hardly found on the internet after the king's change. Nobody acknowledging workman in Thailand anymore.

Wonderful experience visiting this Museum, nicely shown effects of Opium addiction and evolution of drugs from Opium, also how in different parts of world, Opium was smuggled. His Majesty King Rama IX , really did wonderful favour for whole world by working against Opium. 🙏 🙏

We traveled to Thailand many times, but we didn’t know much about the Hall of Opium until some local people introduced us to this place. Incredible story about Opium war, opening our eyes about Chinese and British. We enjoyed the exhibition very much and recommend to everyone should come see it.

Although being a rather older kind of museum I think it is worth visiting in order to better understand the story around OPIUM

A very sober, thorough presentation of the history of opium - multimedia walkthrough takes about 2 hours. Fantastic experience. A must visit if you’re in the region.

A fantastic museum that tells the story of opium. But the most amazing thing was that I had the whole museum to myself, because of Covid 19.
I only saw two other visitors in the few hours I was there.
There is also a small souvenir shop where you can buy refreshments, and yes... souvenirs, but no... you can't buy opium in the museum shop :)

One of the best museums I've seen in Thailand. The exhibition is very well-displayed and explained. Very detailed information on all aspects of opium.

Amazing
High quality museum installations
Absolutely enlightening and I formative about the opium plant and how it was discovered, it's role between eastern and western trade and then how opium impacted Thailand were my favourite exhibitions.
They really spent a lot of money and time to create this museum.
Tickets 200 Bhat

Set in lush landscape gardens is a world-class exhibition about the opium poppy and drug. We spent a fascinating three hours in the museum looking at exhibits from opium poppy botany, harvesting, processing, international trade leading to the Opium Wars, medicinal uses of opium onto the dark side of opium trade, smoking in opium dens and modern drug abuse. Unfortunately no photography is permitted inside the exhibition halls. A coffee shop and souvenir shop complete an enjoyable visit. A bit confusing was the exit at the back of the museum and a small shuttle bus drove us around back to the front call park. Worth the 200 baht foreigner entrance fee.

Although we are not museum-people, we decided to try this one for its topic - and it was really great! Could spend long hours there. It's modern, it's interesting and staff was great too. Price 200 THB / person. Definitely can recommend.

Excellent museum, telling the story of worldwide trade from the early ages, through to opium addition today. Worth the 200 baht admission.

A very well designed and well informed museum on the history of opium. I wish I had more time to visit as one could spend up to a few hours wandering this place without feeling bored. Beside that, the scenery outside is just amazing.
Definitely recommend.
