Wat Phra That Chom Kitti, Chiang Saen Town

One of the highlights of this area. A classic example of a ancient temple restored and glorified.
Peaceful and cool on the hill overlooking Chiang Sean and Loas

Serene place with views, overlooking Chiang Saen. About 30 mins walking distance from the city center. Pass through the white gate and walk up the stairs to the hilltop.

Visit 3rd April 2019. Ancient and modern Wat together. Must visit for the area.

There is many hidden archeological site Some place do not even have the sign or a path ways to the site, it was burned collapsed roots of former Lanna state, its was destroyed and abandoned for 100-200 years as the efforts of Chakkri monachy to erasing all the core culture of Lanna state until to this day.

This from a local, I live within short walking distance, this famous Thai temple is regarded by us locals as a second nicest temple complex in the area, serene, garden-like, temple bells to ring at the top set on a hill, can walk up the 332 steps if u like, yep I counted them, but walking down can be troublesome when the moss gets wet, driving up and around the side, worth a visit, the temple is on Top of the hill, N ot street level

One of a very beautiful ancient Temple on the hill top with wonderful over looked to the Mae Khong river valley and Laos.

The place has been well-preserved for over 900 years. Thanks to pra khru Vikrom Samathiwat (94 years as of Jan 2020) for his continuous and countless efforts _/|\_
