Tathata Restaurant

If you see a light box that reads only "THA", don't hesitate. It's the restaurant. The owner said the supplier screwed up their order. I hope they can fix it. I tried the restaurant's Thai food. Order was taken attentively for the level spiciness I preferred. Everything was delicious and came in good portions, delightful for the inexpensive price I paid. Recommended.

When we arrived it seemed closed but the restaurant quickly sprung into action. Really great service as they found plugs for our laptops to charge with. It’s exceptionally charming. We sat down near the owner’s bouncing baby grandson, not far from very well fed and friendly cats and a wall of old paper notes of various currencies. Felt very welcome. Ordered a margarita and kamakaza (their spelling) which very decent and inexpensive. The tempura chicken papaya salad was tasty too and the serving was massive, easily good enough for two people. Lovely, homey, family spot. A wonderful little gem. Oh and free mosquito repellent.

Lovely restaurant with fantastic atmosphere and extremely good thai food. They also offer pizza and some other western options. The owners are really delightful people and were very attentive. The outdoor seating has fans and insect repellent is provided which I thought was a nice touch.

Tathata is one of the best restaurants on Koh Lanta. Their fresh coconuts are so sweet and their food is amazing. Good price, tasty, service is good and good portions. Their place is very homey, and the main server (male with slightly long hair) is always smiling. Makes you happier!

Tasty food, love that they can customise spicy ness and that the owner bothered asking. Loved the Panang curry and pineapple fried rice!

One of the best places on Lanta, we stayed for hours, had drinks and food. There were cute cats and kids, the som tum dish (papaya salad) is huge and proper spicy (as long as they believe you can take the chilli) and the service incredibly kind. Would definitely go back.

very delicious food, for vegetarians/ vegans like us they have a lot of tofu meals, we had a panang and tom ka both for 120 bath with rice, staff is very friendly and they even offer free moskito repellent

The best meal in Thailand so far! Cold beer, great fruit shakes, wonderful green curry. And the kitchen was very accommodating to our group's dietary restrictions. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Koh Lanta!

Lovely place and lovely people! Best curry I’ve had so far in Thailand with very generous portions and reasonable prices. Pizza is also delicious and would recommend the vegetable tempura.

Amazing food. The staff are so friendly. We were here in off season, and asked if they would teach us to cook. We came a few days later and they gave us a private cooking lesson. Delicious food, and now we can make our own when we get back to the UK. It won't be as good as theirs, but it'll remind us of such a great place. The lady who owns the place even gave me some Aloe Vera for my sun burn. We will be back again before we leave Koh Lanta.

The best meal I've had in Thailand. The food is well-priced and so delicious. We got holly basil beef, chicken panang, papaya salad, and the coconut-cashew shake and everything was absolutely delicious. Definitely go geth if you're in Ko Lanta.

We ate here twice and enjoyed both times. The margarita pizza had plenty of cheese and the right amount of sauce. The vegetable salad had different greens, broccoli, carrots, bell peppers and other items in an oil dressing. Tried the massaman was delicious.

Spent a week in Lanta and found this gem on our last day here. Had breakfast and came back on the same day for dinner! Owner lady and her brother, the amazing Chef are super kind and friendly, the premises in very clean and homely, and most importantly the food is prepared with big love! Honestly the best Thai food in Lanta.

Our cheese and tomato baguette was prepared with love, cheese was melted onto the bread and topped off with more fresh slices of cheese and tomatoes! Pad See Ew was amazing, red curry served in carved terra-cotta pot, great Tom yum, som tam, vegetable tempura, pad thai... some of the best Thai we ever had! We ate vegetarian and dishes were cooked with a great medley of fresh vegetables, huge portions and not forgetting their nice touch of offering guests bug spray upon arrival. Thank you very much for making Lanta even more beautiful!

Best curry and basil beef and in koh lanta! The prices are fair and the amount of food is big. There menu is fabulous we loved the basil beef and there curries. It became our go to for lunch in koh lanta. I definitely recommend this place if you are on a budget and looking for an amazing thai taste food.

Go for the massaman curry because it's the best on the island. Pair it with the roti and you got an excellent meal at 150 baht. They've also got a veg. option which would bring the two items down to 120 thb.

Also the lady who runs the place is super nice. She always walks you to the entrance when you leave wishing you safe travels and fairwells...even if you're just going home. Haha loved her.

After two weeks on Lanta I can tell you that Tathata is one of the best restaurants to eat at.
Food: Taste really good and massive portions.
Staff: Friendly and happy, serviceminded.
Atmosphere: Nice relaxing thaigarden feeling.

This is a must go if you visit Lanta.
