El Greco - Greek Taverna

A very nice place that I highly recommend during your stay on Koh Lanta. Very nice owners made our stay a pleasure. Despite the cold we caught due to too much air conditioning during the trip, we were back on our feet quite quickly. The peace and quiet that prevails at the Greek Taverna helped. I assume that the delicious food we decided to eat right after arrival also had a positive impact. The rooms were clean, well-kept and spacious. Air conditioning, fridge and water kettle available. It is also possible to rent a scooter. The day before departure, after dinner on site, we were treated to a Greek dessert, which was the perfect ending to our stay. I highly recommend!

This review is for the restaurant: the food here is delicious. They really know how to cook. We've had Greek food in Greece and in New York, and this is comparable and could even be better! The owner is very nice and hospitable. I tried with every fiber of my being to not come a second time, (because we had other restaurants to try) but their food was just too good! Thank you for an excellent experience.

Our friends tried this restaurant out as it was right across the street from their hotel and they absolutely loved it, so we went back with them the next day and they were absolutely right! The food was wonderful! We ordered half the menu between 6 of us and everything was so tasty! The potatoes are incredible and I really recommend both gyros.

The restaurant is also really cute and the owners are really lovely people too. We actually ended up going again the day before we left Lanta. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our Greek feast at El Greco. We placed our order via Facebook messenger which was very easy and it was ready within 20 minutes to pick up as a takeaway. The pita bread and the gyros pita bread tasted really homemade, fresh and crispy, everything was so generously herby and delicious. Could of done with more tzakziki dip, for the wedges and meze platter, but that is just a minor thing. I would highly recommend, and the owner and wife were lovely and friendly. Would highly recommend :)

I can only speak about the restaurant. Has by far the best Greek food on the whole island. Maybe even potentially the best food at all. It is a little pricey. But the chicken gyros are amazing and the lamb gyros are amazing most days as well..

I casually walked in one day and loved their giros chicken wrap. Since then, I went four more times within two weeks and each time me and my friends were amazed by the quality of the food. The venue is very nice and the owner super friendly.

we came for dinner here and it was absolutely excellent ! the staff is really kind and the owner (who is Greek!!!) is also super nice. I highly recommend this place if you want to taste a bit of Greece in your plate.

Amazing food and super friendly staff. Spyro who runs the restaurant with his family serves up the best non Thai food on the island. Highly recommend if you feel like a change from Thai food!! The cheese filo pastry and the chicken gyro were as good as the ones in Greece!

Incredible Greek meal - fancied a change from Thai. We got the baked feta and chicken gyros each and the quality and taste was phenomenal. The guys running the restaurant are friendly and welcoming. We didn’t have any wine but it looked great on other patron’s tables. 10/10

Honestly the best gyros I've ever eaten, soft herby homemade bread, huge amounts of slow cooked lamb, amazing yogurt sauce, with tomato and red onion, utter perfection on a plate. Going back tomorrow night to try something else, or just have another one. And greek the owner is just a delight.

Really tasty and fresh food. Big portion sizes too! Appreciated the eggplant ball as a vegetarian option for the gyro wrap as some restaurants just offer veggies in a wrap. The man running it was friendly and nice to chat with.

Delicious Greek cuisine. Definitely the best that I've had in Thailand, hidden on Koh Lanta.

Casual place, open air, good food, nice staff, friendly owner. Good basic greek menu that is done very well. Tzatziki is good, they use good feta cheese and put plenty of it. Grill menus are nicely done as well.

The food here is incredible, so authentic, tasty and fresh. Would really highly recommend. Best dinner we had during our week on the island.

Best Greek food! I tried the lamb and chicken gyros and it’s one of the best I’ve had ever!!! The Greek salad is also good and fresh! We’ve come back twice! Defo recommend and not to be missed

It's one of the best greek meal I've ever had. The food was so fresh and good. We could feel the love put in it. Even my picky child loved it and asked to come back for dinner 😁 the service and atmosphere where great. Highly recommended

We had a delicious fried feta, moussaka & gyros. After a week in Thailand, was so good to eat some western food. Tasted just like tavernas in Greece. Thank you!

After 6 weeks of traveling Southeast Asia we really enjoyed the change of scenery in this Greek restaurant, owned by a kind and welcoming Greek couple! We visit Greece every year and were amazed at how authentic everything tastes, just like a little piece of Greece in Thailand. We’re definitely coming back here, highly recommend!
