Seem they’d just re-open again with new hand made bamboo’s house. Nice and warm welcome from Thai-Dutch couple and little girl-Asa(same name with this place). Not sure what they offering after re-open but would be fun , challenge and memorable as always. Please check with the owner and you will see the Lanta in different view.

Wow wow wow. What a lovely experience! We went to ASALANTA a few days ago and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I’m a huge fan of crafty things and came across this while we were staying in Koh Lanta looking at potential workshops/classes.

We chose to do one of their 1 hour workshops making our own eco friendly bamboo cups due to the fact we had a car booked for the day and this was our last stop. However we were having so much fun we sent the car away and stayed longer.

Thank you so much to Anke, Aoi and their very adorable daughter Asa! We had a brilliant time cutting down bamboo and learning all about it before hand crafting our very own cup to take home. Anke and Aoi also very kindly gave us a little tipple of beer to toast our new creations.
It was lovely just sitting in the middle of the wilderness and hearing about their story and how they have built everything there by hand, planting all the bamboo and really living off the land in a truly sustainable way.

Even if you’re not so keen on doing a workshop I would still highly recommend visiting as they have an incredible bamboo tree house tea room where you can just sit relax and soak in the calm atmosphere. Also definitely try the iced coffee. Honestly the BEST I have tasted in our time in Thailand! DELICIOUS!!!!

Thank you all again, we shall definitely be back next time we’re in Koh Lanta and can’t wait to see what new things you’ve built when we do!

We had a wonderful day of jewellery making with Anke and her wonderful daughter Asa. It was fascinating to learn about Anke’s journey from backpacking to building her own home in the middle of the Koh Lanta jungle. Her energy for life is infectious. Lunch was fantastic and everyone had lots of fun. Great family experience. Highly recommended.

Really fantastic place built from nature. Jealous of the lovely owners creative but simple lifestyle! Only stopped in for drinks and a snack and quick walk around the grounds. Power balls delicious, coffee very good!

Pure nature and organic chill-out in the middle of jungle. But what’s more it is a local community helping project which makes you stop and think about the nature-friendly way of life. Bio drinks and handmade products are just another extra added value for visitors. Chat with the owner is a must!

Hidden treasure in Koh Lanta, it's my favorite place in Thailand. Get out of the beaten (touristy) track and immerse yourself into a new world. Anke, Aoi and the little Asa are there willing to share their lifestyle and inspire many others to build a better world for all beings. Highly recommend the berry shake and the energy balls at the Organic Teahouse. If planning to stay longer in Koh Lanta, definitely worth staying at their lodge and have an unique experience at the bamboo forest. I stayed there for 6 nights and I'm definitely coming back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here!
You can safely get yourself here, just follow the small red signs from where Google Maps takes you.

Bamboo lessons and workshop was intriguing, seeing how important and versatile this plant is in Thailand. Tools and crafting are different from norwegian ones, but very efficient. Smaller children get help working, our 6 and 11 year old had a blast making their pencil house for school.

A meal with the family and employees together made a much more intimate experience than the common tourist setting. Also, as the food is prepared without the usual additives (msg, factory broth etc), you actually get to experience the ingredients and their unique tastes.
The strawberry smoothie was heavenly on a hot day, besides; if you fear that the jungle will be scolding hot there is shade everywhere and a nice draft.
If you want an out-of-the-ordinary experience, perhaps some hand made jewellery, be sure to visit this gorgeous couple and their beautiful daughter!

The tea house is the paradigm of tranquility. They offer excellent teas, coffee, and wholesome snacks that soothe the belly and salve the soul. The staff is hospital and kind and the owners are outgoing, engaging, and welcoming to no end. They offer workshops too that are inclusive to all age groups! Hands down a must see place if you're on Koh Lanta. Great for families, the wondering vagabonds, and explores alike, Asalanta welcomes all.

What and incredible place! My husband and I stumbled upon this gem while exploring the jungle in Koh Lanta. We met Anke and adorable Asa (her daughter) in the tea house and immediately hit it off. Anke told us the story behind Asa Lanta which she and her husband Aoi, built with their own hands. They have a beautiful tea house where you can enjoy delicious fresh local teas and treats, not to mention the fresh juices. When you are done enjoying your refreshments check out the earth shop for upcycled and hand made jewelry by Anke herself. Make sure you take a tour of the property and check out and book a couple nights at their eco-lodge where you'll stay in adobe huts for a true local experience. The nature surrounding the property is incredible- various species of bamboo, fruit trees, a pond and tons of local wildlife. While you're there take a sustainable workshop with Aoi and get your hands dirty learning natural building techniques, learn about sustainable bamboo, or creative recycling. Overall, Asa lanta is a remarkable and inspiring example of sustainable living. If you've ever been curious about sustainable/eco living, give Aoi and Anke a visit. They're always up for a chat and happy to share ideas and stories. Amazing family and place!

AsA Lanta is a real hidden gem in Koh Lanta. The whole place has been built from scratch by the owners themselves. You see and feel that they put a lot of hard work and love in their home, and it pays off: the bungalows are lovely, the teahouse has some delicious drinks and snacks, the owners are super friendly and everything is made from recycled and ecological materials. It's the perfect place to go back to the basics and enjoy the real nature of Thailand. This place is highly recommended, you should definitely stay here for a few nights when you are in Koh Lanta!

Lovely change of scenery from the beach--drank a starfruit basil smoothie from the bamboo deck while watching a grazing cow. Highly recommend this little foray, it's off the beaten path, but not far from the path...warm people, beautiful jewelry, stunning setting, good food.

This place is just amazing!! It’s a perfect spot to relax and have really delicious food - I super recommend the energy balls :)
Anke and Aoi, the couple who runs the place, are so friendly and it worth listen about their story and how they built this beautiful earthen house.
If you go to Koh Lanta, you definitely have to go to ASALANTA!

A nice little place tucked into the jungle. Delicious organic drinks, herbal tea, very nice staff, and good conversations with owner and fellow patrons. Must try the energy balls. Structure is built out of recycled and natural materials completely by owners and volenteers. A great change from the usual touristy places on the beach.

Great alternative place to visit on Lanta.

If you’re looking for an antidote to salt, sand, bars and pools, ASA Lanta is the place to visit.

Anke and Aoi have made an art form of sustainable living, and they’re still on their journey.

I visited to attend the bamboo workshop ... and after a short 4 hours (with a fantastic lunch), I’m intrigued and I want to learn more.

ASA Lanta is located on the outskirts of a small village down the south of the island. It is located in a grove of forest and bamboo, and the bamboo and mud-brick structures are wonderfully comfortable, cool, and easy on the eye.

Anke and Aoi are wobderfully friendly and genuine hosts, and hopefully they’ll motivate you a little further along the path of sustainability.

I’ll go back again next time I visit Lanta, and I’d like to stay at least one night.
