Enjoyed the walk. It can get quite hard as some spots require climbing over rocks with the aid of built-in ropes. The first levels are an easy walk, and the further levels are more difficult.
Good small waterfalls to see, lots of fish and butterfly's along the way.

It was an amazing experience to see the wildlife in its natural state. Seeing elephants in the natural habitat is something I'll remember for ever.

The actually NP (not around the dam) is one of the most amazing and wildest parts of the world. With two camp sites and their facilities you can spend weeks there looking for birds, elephants, leopards, gibbons etc… a must visit place in Thailand.

Thailand's largest NP. A wonderful place for birding, butterflying, hiking and photography. Went mainly for birds and butterflies and KK provided plenty of both. Saw 42 new bird species w/pics of most and countless species of butterflies. Also 1 beautiful Monocled Cobra, which was an added thrill and bonus.

One of the many beautiful national parks of Thailand. It is unlike the ones I have visited in the US. Not many trails, but what is there is amazing and beautiful.

Lovely views of the huge lake and a suspension bridge to the island which has a cycleway and walkway all the way around (1km) pity that the second bridge to a much larger island is closed.

Wow, what an experience!
1 full day & 2 nights at camp ban kaeng.
In the nature trails we were stormed by a massive stag deer and fawn being hunted by 3 jackals, all flying past just 6meters away.
We saw wild elephant, family of gibbon, snub tail macaque, plenty of dusky leaf langurs, many hornbills, millions of butterfly’s, a large green tree snake and tokay gecko battle out.
The night before we arrived the campers mentioned a sun bear strolled through camp, no cats unfortunatley.
But to wake up to the howls of gibbon and langurs above was a pretty special experience! Will be back

Amazing bird life and I would highly recommend visiting one of the many bird hides. 300 but pp and is worth every cent. I went in the off season and the bird life was still excellent. If your time is short skip the morning session and only go for the afternoon where you see majority of the bird life.

A great park to see lots of different birds, gibbons, langurs, stump tailed macaques, and if you’re super lucky, elephants or leopards. The main road is 15km to Ban Krang campsite which has a restaurant that has a sunbear that comes around at noon to eat trash from the restaurant. Entrance fee for foreigners to the park is 300, plus 30 for a car. To drive up the mountain you need a 4x4 vehicle after Ban Krang. You can rent one with a driver from the park for 1800 to take you to the top for sunrise as well. You can rent camping gear as well but we didn’t do this so I can’t speak to that. Restrooms weren’t in great shape.

Definitely worth the visit for people who love nature and hikes, do note that it's unlike sg macpherson treetop hike but a lot more rock and steep and the need to climb. Hiking shoes advised to be worth. The view there makes it worth every effort. Also do bring insect repellent (preferable organic ones if you intend to soak you feet, the water is really cooling and definitely worth the soak after a long hike)

Get close to nature! This is my favorite national park in Thailand. There is ample wildlife, especially birds, butterflies and monkeys to see. The surroundings are beautiful, the campsites are well equipped. If you would like to see a beautiful view of the sunset and gaze at the stars, go up to Panoenthung campsite and viewpoint. The site is accessible only via a 4WD and my Nissan XTrail 4WD was just about adequate for the trip. Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely return.

Very interesting place. The rapids of the waterfall are small, but beautiful, around the jungle. There are a lot of fish in the waterfall, the children really liked to feed them. Be careful in April there were a lot of wasps, my daughter was bitten by a wasp in the leg, local workers in the cafe said that they did not bite.

One of the best waterfalls in Thailand. It's quite long with many different levels, sections, swimming pools and is great for swimming. There are many large fish and they will try and bite you if you stand still, so swimming can be a little adventurous! Except a 30min hike to the bigger fall at level 5.

Good place for a hike. There are 5 levels and each level has a beautiful waterfall. Bring change of clothes and towel and a waterproof camera. It's quite a slippery and dangerous hike at certain points so bring good sandals that you don't mind getting wet.
