La Tortuga Verde

Visited April 2024.
A super beach complex literally yards away from the Pacific Ocean. There is nothing in this world like laying in a hammock watching the waves roll in with a cold beer in hand - tick, tick, tick.

The rooms are large with separate three piece bathrooms that are basic but comfortable & clean. Air-conditioning is available in part of each room. The bar and restaurant deliver freshly prepared meals with a soundtrack fitting of the beach location.

Pools To enjoy. Staff readily available. Free coffee, cold and hot water in lobby. Service is comparable to other locations. I have been to some places where the food takes Forever To come out, I felt it faster here than I expected. Natural juices are delicious. Rooms are spacious with AC. No need for hot water when it is the beach and hot already. Food cost is a little higher than others but not too bad. Lots of amenities here! WiFi everywhere.

This place is hotel/restaurant which sadly isn’t advertised. But I called and they let me know. I went twice once’s at night and next day for breakfast to eat. And the service I received was amazing. My server when I went at night Benjamin was great and when I went for breakfast my server Francisco was also great. The food taste amazing and very reasonably priced.

Enjoyed the Pacific Ocean breeze and all the facilities from Tortuga Verde. Got a table with hammocks for a small fee right at the beach.
Had breakfast and lunch in front of the ocean. Service is great. Food is right for the price.
Very family oriented ambiance.

Loved this place. In front of long and wide beach with hardly any people. Room was good with A/C, attached bathroom and space in front of room with hammocks protected from bugs etc. Shop, Restaurant with excellent food, Bar, pool -everything you need + 2 Pelicans and we were lucky to see baby turtle release. Tom the owner really helped if we had questions and more.

Love this place. You can walk in and go straight to the bar. No hustle. I've stayed here in the past and would definitely stay here again. Rooms are clean and the staff are friendly. The Bikes are looking great as well.

For a Tip Youngs bartenders let me be a DJ for a hour great food atmosphere and service

It is like summer camp year around. Pelicans, tortugitas, food.

I was part of the Intrepid Group traveling Central America & we spent 2 nights here. Rooms are basic, aircon is $10 extra per night, & the food is incredible! I had the best burger in all my 85 countries of travel here. The owner is American & has made this a hammock haven! Because this is located on a beach front property, keep in mind there will be some ants or flies. The rooms are netted in well to keep them away but if you leave something sweet in your trash, the ants will find their way. The kitchen takes their time preparing food fresh, so give it about 30 plus mins for food to arrive. Their salads are amazing too. Wifi is strong throughout the resort. It’s a great place to chill, relax & reflect. It’s basic but we love it! Highly recommend

Nice and cozy place, perfect to enjoy the sea and their restaurant food is delicious they have great variety and spa service as well.

Great family orientated place, food was good the service is good but the best part is the beach, you're away from the large crowds and it felt like I had the beach to myself. I am definitely coming back

Great spot. We got there at 9am and wanted to stay for the night. Rented a room ($50) and check was at 2pm but they let us in at 1pm.

In the meantime we hung out by the pool, got some work done, and ordered some food/drinks.

The WiFi is very strong (perfect for telework!!) and the food was good. Not a lot of vegetarians or vegans but you can get sides or platanos, beans, tortillas.

The pool is nice and clean. The ocean is gorgeous and the beach is kept pretty clean

Loved staying here and would 10/10 stay again. Staff was amicable, rates were affordable, food was good and the drinks were cheap too. The pizza from the bar is okay, maybe a bit too salty. Being able to charge everything to your room by way of a room bracelet was convenient.

We met a random stray dog that was hanging around the bar that was super friendly, I think it belonged to one of the arts/crafts/music instructors. He made us feel welcome and let us take pics with him.

Beach was one of the best I've been to!

Very layback atmosphere, service was wonderful and the beach is spectacular. The only thing I was is Des agreement , was the way the turtles are released, they seem to be kept too long out of the water and loose direction to the ocean.

We are family of six people and we stayed here for four night. It was great! The food and both the room and especially the vibes.

Amazing and clean beach, amazing minuta stands, friendly staff, fun environment and the best part of the tortuga verde experience, is that you get to release baby turtles to the ocean. There is also live musicians at just $20 for 4 songs and if you’re nice and respectful to them they sometimes throw in an extra song

Best Hostel in El Salvador. Great beaches and great prices for rooms. Single rooms for $12!!! The food is a little expensive though, so be sure the check out Adela's Pupusasria next door!

I love this place the guest service was excellent the manager in this location is really friendly she helps us to get the best room that they have the food here is great I recommend this place. Thanks Tortuga Verde for made our vacation so special.

You feel in paradise. The trees give you so much shade. Foods good... Order within time. Rooms clean, has everything you need.. recommended the rooms with the covered patios.
