I had the most incredible solo trip, met fabulous people in classes and the best reception staff, big shout out to Peter being so accommodating! The pool area and rooms are unbearable. Cannot wait to return!

You can pay hour whole stay with Bitcoin (lightning). It's full of surfers, beautiful facilities, nice food, great views, neat rooms. The only downside is that there's bad transportation between El Zonte and El Tunco (where the actual Nightlife goes on).

My family with two boys ages 9 and 11 stayed for 7 days and had a GREAT time. Really everything was done very well from the rooms to the food, lessons, massages, and the service. The restaurant was efficient, accommodating, and well-priced. Plus the menu was creative and tasty! The overall vibe here was so relaxed and comfortable. We did a few days of lessons and the instructors genuinely seemed so happy to see the kids do well. I do think the lesson price was a bit high but they had the system laid out really well so you could just show up and enjoy. Overall, great family vacation, and I would recommend it to anyone!

We travel widely at luxury hotels and resorts and, although we only went for the day, found the service, facilities and food to be outstanding. Poolside service was attentive and professional, excellent healthy drinks came quickly, ecological practices. Beautiful pool! Beach, showers, toilets all clean and perfect.

We contacted the hotel on whatsapp and they were immediately responsive and helpful and booked us a private driver to come from the city. Highly recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Puro Surf Hotel for the second time, and I must say, it was even better than my first visit. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine friendliness from the staff that made me feel right at home.

One of the highlights of my stay at Puro Surf Hotel was definitely the staff. They were attentive, accommodating, and always ready to assist with any requests or questions I had. Whether it was providing recommendations for local activities or ensuring my room was comfortable, their exceptional service truly enhanced my overall experience.

The resort itself was immaculate. The cleanliness and attention to detail were evident throughout the property. The rooms were spotless, and the common areas were well-maintained. I appreciated the effort the hotel put into creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.

One aspect that stood out to me during my stay was how responsive the staff were. Whenever I needed assistance or had a query, they were quick to respond and address any concerns. This level of attentiveness made me feel valued as a guest and contributed to the overall positive experience.

SURF ACADEMY

I recently had the pleasure of returning to Puro Surf Academy for the second time, and once again, it exceeded all my expectations. This surf academy truly knows how to deliver an exceptional experience for surfers of all levels.

During my stay, I opted for a private coaching session with video analysis, and it was an absolute game-changer. The instructor, Stanley, was not only highly skilled but also incredibly patient and knowledgeable. The video analysis allowed me to see my technique in detail, and Stanley provided me with personalized exercises and techniques to improve my surfing. I felt like I made significant progress and gained valuable insights into refining my skills.

The entire staff at Puro Surf Academy was fantastic. Stanley, in particular, stood out for his expertise and dedication to helping each student reach their full potential. The rest of the staff were equally friendly and accommodating, creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere that made the learning experience even more enjoyable.

I also had the opportunity to try the ice bath with breathing exercises and surf-skate sessions, which added an extra dimension to my training. The ice bath helped with recovery and the breathing exercises provided a sense of calm and focus. The surf-skate sessions were invaluable for learning the biomechanics of surfing and improving my balance and coordination on the board.

One aspect that impressed me about Puro Surf Academy was the level of organization. Every aspect of the program was well-planned and executed. From the scheduling of sessions to the availability of equipment, everything ran smoothly, allowing me to make the most of my time and concentrate on improving my surfing skills.

Overall, I can confidently say that Puro Surf Academy is one of the best surf schools I have ever encountered. The combination of excellent coaching, personalized attention, and a friendly and supportive staff make it a standout choice for surfers looking to enhance their skills. It's no wonder I returned for a second time, and I would not hesitate to visit again in the future.

A very strong storm blew through and knocked out power to the resort. The resort restored power to the restaurant’s kitchen. The staff went from room to room taking orders and delivering food in the pouring rain. I could tell they did it with pure service in their hearts. This was a nice clean resort and the food was excellent. I would definitely go back.

We had an amazing time at Puro Surf Hotel & Performance Academy. Situated in Zonte overlooking the Zonte point break and easy surfboard rental via Awayco with help from Noemie, Eduardo and Ricardo.

Joaquin and Jorge were excellent customer service in the restaurant and the food is of the highest quality there Muchísimas Gracias to the chefs.

My son and I loved skating the skate ramp for surf training in the morning or evenings was a highlight.

My wife and I stayed at Puro for one week in March 2022. I have surfing experience and wanted a technical foundation so I did 7 day Surf Camp. My wife did the Yoga Package and we included all meals.

Everything was perfect! The hotel is in a magical location, perched above El Zonte with a view of the surf break and with easy walking access to "town" or the main beach. The rooms are spacious, clean, and designed for a beach vacation. All our meals were in Covana and we enjoyed every single one. The atmosphere, combined with fresh ingredients, friendly staff, and a wide variety of options was just what we wanted.

The main draw of the trip was the options perfectly suited for any type of traveler. Families can hang out by the pool/beach, take surf lessons, and roam the grounds safely. Yoga and gym classes are for everyone. However, the Surf Academy is best in the hemisphere! The program is built to connect your mind, body, and skills from the ground up. The coaches are superb, with gym sessions, surf sessions, and video analysis to support every detail of your progress. I went from a beginner to the big waves in just four days!

The staff is attentive to all needs, scheduling, and the entire process was easy. We will be back next year!

We had a great experience with our stay in Puro Surf. The facilities and restaurant are excellent; the staff is very friendly and attentive. The surf academy is world-class, you will improve your surfing with just a couple of lessons and highly recommend video analysis of your sessions. This is the best surf academy/hotel period. We stayed at Puro Surf Hotel for a week in June 2019. A family of 4 with 3 adults children. We had a fantastic experience. The hotel is excellent and the service is perfect. The restaurant is exactly what you need for a week vacation of surfing, and you can walk from the hotel to a few local restaurants for a change. All the rooms offer an ocean view and they are very comfortable. The pool is simply fantastic. The surf school is extremely serious and Marcello has is down to a science, for every level. I highly recommend the hotel and the school, for any level of surfing.

Amazing hotel and training center.

Location and food - and coffee! - could not be better. The experience is that of a luxury resort specializing in surf training and recovery. The video analysis is so helpful. There’s nothing like seeing yourself surf to help your progression. Many enjoyable amenities for those who don’t surf - like the pool, cocktails, coffee. The food is a cut above; a high quality and gourmet experience. The hotel also has programs like a waterfall hike, yoga, ginastica training and ice bath recovery.

I highly recommend for anyone who wants to take their surfing to the next level (via the training academy) or just wants to surf high quality right hand point breaks. Puro Surf is the way to go.

We had the most amazing stay at this incredible resort. Roberto and all the other staff were so friendly and accommodating going above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Was very hard to leave this paradise

Excellent food, both the seafood and the steak were amazing (though the meat was a bit overdone for my taste and they didn't ask how we liked it). Portions are not huge but they are a fair size and the natural drinks are also a decent size and very tasty. Staff is very nice, bathrooms are clean, and the view of the sea is very beautiful. Totally recommended.

Beautiful spot! It’s perfect for surfers, the food is delicious, the whole concept of the hotel is vibrating, perfect for a getaway.

I booked the 7-night surf camp for myself and my husband. I have been surfing on and off for one year but my husband is completely new to surfing. Prior to arrival, we did a questionnaire that included very detailed questions about our experience, comfort level, and goals for the camp. The entire experience was even better than I had imagined. Our incredible coaches Mauricio and Yannis took really great care of us. Each morning we would meet and talk about things to work on before heading out to the beach. For the first 5 days, we were surfing whitewater waves and built our skills little by little. The progression works surprisingly well. It was impressive to see my husband standing up and turning just after 5 days of training! On the last day, we surfed green waves and on that day we had 3 coaches just for the two of us. It was the best day of surfing for both of us. Before getting into the water, we practiced doing a venue analysis and went over all of the things we should be aware of/check out when going to a new location. The environment was so safe and fun!

After each surf session, the coaches would go over our videos and they never miss a single detail. This really helped us progress so quickly. Our videographer, Gaston, took so many videos of us every single day for the analysis. There were also a ton of other fun activities embedded in the surf camp, such as skating, BJJ, yoga, ginastica natural. I loved that we were so immersed in the surfing mindset for the entire day every day.

The hotel itself was a great place to relax. We were right over the beach and falling asleep to the sounds of waves each night was magical! I would definitely recommend both the surf camp and the hotel. Can't wait to return!!

Great surf instructors. If you are serious about getting better, they have all the tools to develop your skills (skate bowl, dedicated swim pool, gym...). The food is really good too. Overall great place to be at.

We repeated the visit to have good coffee. The views are great and service is excellent. It is pricey if you just go there for the coffee. Lovely artesanal structure. 😎

One of the best new places to eat sea food by the beach in La Libertad (El Zonte). Staff super friendly and helpful, view is amazing, food interesting and delicious. The rooms are very well made, just be aware staying there is a bit expensive, tho the food has reasonable prices. They also have a surf academy if you want to try surfing in one of the best beaches for that un El Salvador.

These guys taught me to surf and I’m forever grateful. The food is great, the hotel is beautiful and the entire staff made me feel like family. I’m sure I’ll be back :)
