Brilliant surf school. We had Mico as an instructor and he was brilliant and clearly very experienced. It was our first time ever surfing and we both managed to stand up and catch couple waves. It was also clear his priority was keeping us safe. Would highly recommend.

Wow! I only rented a scooter from Wayo but the service was great and the experience of seeing some of the local sights on two wheels was amazing. The scooter was in great condition and they also have larger motorcycles as well but try book ahead for those if you want a bit more power. Arranging it was simple with a WhatsApp call and Uber ride. Eduardo was great and next time will be for some surf lessons as well!

Absolutely loved the lesson I had with Eduardo. He taught me so much in just one session and helped me achieve my goal of being able to surf 1 wave when I went. I also forgot my bag at the shop which had my passport, camera and AirPods and these amazing people kept it safe for me. Please do yourself a favour and go with them for all surfing services!!

It’s so difficult to find a good coach but I certainly found one of the best in Wayo. Wayo trusted in me, listened to my needs, and worked with me to hone my technique, unpick bad habits, and build my confidence back up. My progress over just a few days was marked but, most importantly, got me back to enjoying myself in the water (and not wanting to get out)! 🌊🏄🏼‍♀

Best place to get a lesson! Used another place on our trip also which was good, but not as good as Pollo and Miko! Had a great day with everybody at Wayo. Myself and my 3 kids had a lesson in the morning, rented scooters for an hour and then used the surfboard in the afternoon. Can’t beat this place and can’t wait to go back!

Wayo and his team of merry surfers Omar (El Gato) and Brandon were fantastic. They walked us through the basics of surfing and led us into the surf to catch some waves. These guys were kind, patient and incredibly helpful. Your 90 min lesson will be 90 minutes. For $35 you can't beat that, all the gear needed is included.

We enjoyed our lessons so much that we returned to El Tunco and El Mahaual just to have another day of surfing. This time we rented the equipment for $15 a day and had a blast once again. We say Wayo and his team with other students and even though we had only rented the equipment they were still giving us tips to improve our chances of getting some waves.

This was my very first surfing lesson. I was celebrating my birthday and I had a blast. Wayo and his team were great! They gave clear instructions, warmed us up on the beach, and was right there with us the entire time. I now have a love for surfing and will be surfing again soon. I highly recommend Wayo surf school.

Wayo and his team of surf instructors are the real deal! They took time to teach my 13 year old daughter the basics of surfing, and she absolutely loved it. They were so professional, patient and supportive. I can’t say enough good things about this company. They also arranged for a tour of some nearby falls. They helped to make our vacation memorable and fun!

We spent a great week learning to surf with Miko and Eduardo. They were so patient and competent building our skills from complete beginners to riding some waves at sunzal. Everyone at the shop is so friendly and committed us having a good time. Surfing with Wayo was absolutely the highlight of our time in El Tunco!

wow these guys are the real deal! i have taken lessons with them a few times while here on vacation and without any prior experience i was standing up from the first lesson and i have gained a little more confidence each time. although in good shape, i am older, and learning to surf felt daunting. the instructors are professional and teach you surf techniques. they coach you and overall do a great job. i would 100% recommend wayo surf school if you’re serious about learning to surf or just want to try something new - you wont be disappointed.

Wayo has an excellent team of instructors who got us, four Deaf ladies of NYC, stand up on surfboard in the waves successfully. I was impressed with their knowledge and expertise. If you want to improve your skill, they are the ones. They 🤘🏽ROCK!🤘🏽

Wayo is hands down the best surf school I've ever attended! My instructors Gato and Eduardo helped me transform my surfing. Over the course of four days, I went from feeling overwhelmed by El Sunzal to being able to surf with confidence and catch my own waves. These guys are not only passionate about surfing and invested in your progress, but are also awesome people who want you to have as much fun in the ocean as they do. And if you don't speak fluent Spanish like me, not to worry, their English is very good. Fue un placer amigos, hasta la proxima vez yeww!

A great business with kind and friendly staff. My group of 3 kids. Ages 16- 19 had a wonderful experience with surfing lessons. The hubby also rented a motorcycle.

Had an awesome experience with Wayo Surf school. Hired a board and got a lesson with Pollo, learnt all the ins and outs of the local spots and would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic month in El Tunco, surfing with Wayo, Miko and Pollo. We had 12 lessons and made a lot of progress, starting in the whitewater and ending up riding the waves at the sunzal point break.

The lessons were very fun. The team were enthusiastic and spent extra time helping us improve our technique. They helped us push through our comfort zone to start riding bigger waves but we always felt safe as they were careful to take us out during good conditions and helped position us onto appropriate waves. Their English is also excellent. Muchas gracias! Hopefully we will be back in a few years.

We loved taking surf lessons at Wayo! Definitely the best surfing school in all of Tunco and located in the heart of the beach town.

My husband and I took a few classes with Wayo and we had an amazing experience. Wayo and his whole team of instructors were patient with us and gave us feedback after each wave. Not only is the spot for Surfing the best waves in the America's but also guided tours to see the beautiful gems of El Salvador! Would definitely suggest for a fun, safe, amazing experience for anyone in El Salvador and they speak English.

I've surfed and taken lessons in many different countries, and even though I didn't get to surf with them due to injury, they took phenomenal care of my friend while we were there. Her first lesson, and she got up on the first wave. The teacher/ student ratio was unbelievable...3 instructors for 6/7 student surfers. Very professional and responsive on WhatsApp, and they made a first timer feel successful. Can't wait to return and surf with them!
