An amazing underrated museum showcasing some of the dark history of Slovakia. This history has been hidden as some of the perpetrators still exist in today's government. For this reason and more, the museum is privately funded and run and not sponsored by the state. No perpetrators names are mentioned to avoid political conflict with the government.

It's also very modern with audio guides available in English. I visited twice and had the pleasure of one of the staff showing me around on my second visit.

You can learn about not only the victims by communisms but also the history of Slovakia itself from 1950 to 1989.

Great little museum to visit! All the displays are in Slovakian but they have a great audio guide (accessed via your phone, via the provided WiFi - headphones are also available). The staff and guides are really friendly, speak perfect English, and very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend visiting!

Touching. The work made by the historians there, I hope will make all the difference, and will be remembered both internationally and domestically.

Very interesting museum, definitely worth to visit! If you're into history this is your place.

The plaquets are in Slovakian, however we had an awesome tour guide, Martin. He introduced the exhibition thoroughly in English and answered all our questions.

He also recommended a nice place near the museum to have a lunch. Cheers Martin, thank you for everything!

The guides really take their time to show you around and create a very personal atmosphere. They educate about an important topic which should be more heard about. Definitely a must-visit when in Košice. Very friendly.

Extremely insightful visit to hear about a relatively undocumented part of history. It was all brought to life by the English-speaking guide Martin, whose passion for the subject, flawless delivery and humility struck exactly the right tone. A must visit if you come to Kosice.

Not exactly what I expected as I thought it may have been an exhibition of items from daily life under Communism. However tge museum is much more a museum of political repression under Communism. Peter is a good and knowledgeable guide who is really interesting to talk to. I came away with a much greater knowledge of political repression in Slovakia. Highly recommended, you will need to book an appointment.

Very interesting museum, because all written texts are in Slovakian I got a personal tour from a museum employee who told everything in English.

Tiny museum, however, has a very nicely covered topic and extremely helpful staff. Definitely a duty to visit at least once in a lifetime, so that no one will ever forget this part of our sad history.

Wc v objekte.

Super múzeum so super sprievodcom! Odporúčam všetkým, ktorí by sa radi dozvedeli viac o našej nedávnej minulosti.
