Hotel Lesanka

I'm writing a review about wedding, with an overnight stay for newlyweds and a few guests. The place itself is charming, but it transforms during wedding preparations to something even better. The ladies responsible for organization knew what are they doing and things went smoother than we expected. The staff was for the whole night available and professional. But the food - it's absolutely above it all. I never had better menu during wedding. That can be also due to wide choice, you select what you like, so no surprises. They were able to work alergies and intolerances without any issue. As you may see from the language of the review, we had international wedding, but was not a problem. Some staff doesn't speak english, but there was always someone to help. We managed to organise it from abroad, only with one visit before wedding (plus initial one when selecting a place). There are taxi services from Kosice available for around 20 - 25 euros.

Cons: The rooms are simple and sometimes not designed in the best matter (I hit bed and heater several time). The audiosystem of the hotel is not the best and at the time (September 2023) the hotel was not allowing to use DJ's system. After some tweaking it was fine for small wedding. They didn't have any requirement to lower the music volume later in the night (as this appears on some websites being mentioned that it happened here in the past). Be careful as you will need to pay for the wedding in cash.

A wonderful hotel, very tasty food, stunning views from the windows, wonderful interior and location. And most importantly: amazingly attentive staff! I happened to stay at this hotel with my family, fleeing from the horrors of the war in Ukraine. We were given a very generous discount on accommodation. The cook was waiting for us to feed us a great dinner. Arnie's dog was offered food, bedding and even a toy. Attention to the children in general was beyond praise. And I have never seen so much sympathy and participation anywhere else. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

A lovely hotel near Ružín lake, recently renovated with a good restaurant and lots of amenities. We made use of the wellness and really enjoyed the grounds, our room was comfortable and the food for our two meals was delicious. We'll definitely go back some time!

I'm reviewing this as a restaurant, not as a hotel, as I haven't stayed here. Great food, service and environment. Price is right for some things, some are a bit expensive. However, the best is the location - hills and forests near lake Ruzin. Even the short drive from Kosice is enough to show you the beauty of eastern Slovakia. If you stay at the hotel, you can take short trips to places nearby, go swimming at the lake and explore local 'pubs' that more or less preserve some of the charm of the old socialist Czechoslovakia (like the one by the lake where you can rent boats). This is a great opportunity for Western tourists if you ever venture this far East. Don't be afraid, it's quite civilized ;-)

Tasty food, i recommend a place for dinner lunch. The location is in the middle of nature. Interier design is more practical than cosy, but the taste of food compensate it
