Camping Vysoke Tatry - LEHARO Camping

This is one of my favourite campsites of all time! Absolutely loved it and would 100% recommend.

Why you should go there:
- lovely staff, Michaela in particular. She’s so friendly, smiley, helpful, kind - our car had problems and she allowed us to wait past the checkout time and did everything she could to help.
- gorgeous, stunning location - Mountain View, always changing, close to different towns, walking/cycling, restaurant nearby. Stream right beside it - you can hear it all day and night, it’s super cold, but our kids didn’t care!
- facilities great, clean, lots of hot water, you do get given tokens, but these were the perfect amount for our family of 4.
- very child-friendly - a lovely little trampoline and space to play football. Our kids had the best time, just being kids - it was lovely.
- great value! A total bargain!

Would 100% recommend and will hopefully be back one day.

The campsite is just perfect. Usually I never come back to places I visited already. But this is one of few campsites I might come back.
There's a lot of space, but not too many pitches. The owner chosen space and privacy instead of maximum profit. Therefore it's not too crowded. I've stayed in one of only few pitches where mountains are invisible but even this isn't a problem as the campsite is nice at every corner.
The river nearby is beautiful and for us became a perfect place to rest after hiking. It should be more advertised as for me it was one of key elements of the campsite.
The price is more or less the same as in the surroundings. But you get more. There were not too many free pitches - I recommend to make reservations during high season.
There are few tiny things to improve like maybe and additional sink for dishwashing. But in general nothing to complain.
Really one of the best campsites I've ever been.

This camping makes you love camping. All the faculties are there, awesome location, not to big, quiet, super friendly owners, modern with nice features and fun. I will come back in september, for all my holdidays for the high tatra this will be my place. Thank you Michaela and the big boss for giving me a warm welcome and stay. I have no remarks to improve.

Had a great experience here. The campground is intimate and gives you a sense of privacy as each pitch has clearly set boundaries. It is not jam-packed. You can tell the owners go for quality over quantity so their guests don’t feel squished on one another. I would suggest making a reservation ahead of time as it seems to be constantly fully booked in summer. There’s a common area with a fridge, washing machine and a sink. The toilets are clean and never missing any supplies. During our stay the owners were always available in their cabin, asked about our well being and made sure everything is fine. They really put their heart and soul into it. We had friendly neighbors too. Everyone respected the curfew. Oh and the view on the Tatra mountains is stunning!

Cozy family camping, with approx 20 pitches. Everything is clean, grass nice cut. It’s a 50m walk to the “beach” of a mountain stream. Nice starting point for walks and mtb tours.

If you want a very tidy, cozy, quiet and well organized campsite, look no further than Leharo camping. Extremely helpful and pleasant hosts, great attention to details and a home-like atmosphere make camping here a pleasure. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Camping Leháro in the picturesque town of Stará Lesná, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. Although I arrived without a prior booking, the staff at Leháro were incredibly accommodating and welcoming, making my impromptu stay a memorable experience.

From the moment I set foot in the campsite, I was struck by the genuine warmth and friendliness of the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure that all guests felt comfortable and well taken care of. Their attentiveness and eagerness to assist with any requests or inquiries were truly commendable.

Very nice camping with beautiful view on the Tatra mountains. We stayed here for a week with a minivan and electric bicycles which was great so we could explore everything. Beer garden, river and restaurant on walking distance. Really nice staff and we had different friendly neighbors the whole stay. If you like to hike or be active in the mountains it is a great spot. We stayed for one night in the Teryho Chata hut with a beautiful hike.

We definitely recommend this camping!

Wow!!! One of the few camping sites in Slovakia that are open the whole year.
And even if the owner of this site is not present during the cold times of the year, one call is enough and perfect englisch speaking Miceala (hope its right) guides you through the incoming process. Toilet and shower are clean and also working in the Winter. I am happy having found this jewel of a camping place. Will always remember this experience.

Beautiful campsite ideally situated in the High Tatras. The owners are lovely and the view is amazing. We stayed for 9 days, and we’ll definitely be back!

One of the best campings in Europe. Honestly I would place it in front of Switzerland campings. The view is awesome and the host is the best. Will come again for sure.

This camping is a little gem. It's not too big, has the best view I ever had on a camping and the owners were very friendly and extremely helpful.
+Great environment
+Ground is not rocky, so easy to pitch the tent
+Most pitches are really flat
+Facilities are among the best I had on a foreign camping (toilets with toiletpapier, soap and even handtowels. The showers are very clean and mold free, there is a fridge, freezer, washing machine, a brush and dishwashing fluid)
+You can actually separate your garbage!! Glass - paper - plastic&cans/ -organic and rest. This is awesome!!
+There is a river nearby that you can actually hear, but it's not loud! I must say the surroundings are really quiet, apart from the animals you here now and then.
+Trampoline for kids
+No additional costs for showering
+Lovely vibe on the campground, even off season

- I don't think this is a negative...but as of now there is no wifi. They are actually working on it as of writing this review.

Nice camping with friendly hosts. Totally recommend it. You can enjoy a great view of Tatras if the weather is good. There are only 2 showers but they were always clean. They also offer a shuttle to main cableways which was really convenient for us.

Kids enjoying this place. Not too big, very very nice view!! Clean bathrooms and helpfull staff. And a relaxing environment!

Very nice and quit place with very kind owners. The showers and toilets are clean. The scenery of the high tatra is beautiful. For us the high tatras were a little bit to touristic for hikes, but the camping was amazing.

Very friendly owners. Nice and compact camping with great view, and there's a fridge for public use. At peak times you gotta wait your turn for doing the dishes.

Great camping site with all the facilities. It's not crowded, the atmosphere is so laid back and the view of the mountains is amazing! The owners are very forthcoming, and there's even a beach :)

Nice landscape, protected site, and convenient-size pitches. Family-friendly place, flexible owners. There is a brook beach nearby with amazing natural views. Visitors are socially accommodating people. However, a bigger sanitation / cleansing facility building is needed. A development to glamping or nordic village would also be appealing.

At the moment there is only one shower, if you’re not in a rush that not a problem at all. If you’re sensitive about that it’s better come back next year when they continued to built facilities...

But the view you’re getting only here 👍
