The oldest still operating cinema in Slovakia is the Mladosť cinema on Hviezdoslav square under the name Elektro-Bioskop, it was opened on September 5, 1905, thanks to hotelier Karol Palugyay, in an adapted room of the U zeleného stromu (today Carlton) hotel.

One nice old cinema. It plays international movies, that are out of the Block Buster list. The staff is very nice and the atmosphere is like in the real cinema like 20 years ago.
