A true gem of a museum of Islamic history! If you come to Medina for tourism or Umrah, if you are lucky and have a chance come to this Museum. I was able to visit here.
The museum contains historically very old important Islamic artifacts, letters, pictures and different pieces of historical timelines. It's probably the most important and worthwhile Islamic museum there is in the World. It's free as well.

Hejaz Railway Museum is an excellent tourist attraction which is the restoration of the old Ottoman railway station. Opened in 2006, this museum has a grandiose platform that will teleport you to the Ottoman empire times.

You must visit the exhibition on the Prophet’s life and take in facts about the artifacts and relics from Medina.

It will feel awe-inspiring to know about how people lived prior to and post Islam besides it will also put the Islamic history and culture into perspective.

I had a fantastic time at this museum! It had ancient scriptures, stone writings, Ottoma Era artifacts, Saudi history, and many fascinating Islamic history items. Although there was no air conditioner, making it a bit stuffy, the exhibits were captivating enough to make me forget about it.

I recommend bringing your water bottles since there was no drinking water available, and please note that the train station nearby is closed. Despite these small inconveniences, the overall experience was enjoyable. If you have a passion for history, this is the place to be!

I especially suggest bringing young kids along, as they will also find the exhibits intriguing. Don't miss out on this museum if you're interested in learning about the rich history of the region.

This old railway station recollects you of the glorious history of Ottoman Empire. Its abundant exhibition is very knowledgeable. It’s magnificent to spend a couple of hours lingering in the back yard where there are old train carriages you can shoot.

Hejaz Railway Station in Medina, Saudi Arabia, is a captivating historical landmark that offers visitors a glimpse into the region's rich history and the evolution of transportation in the Arabian Peninsula.
Stepping into the Hejaz Railway Station feels like taking a journey back in time. The station's architecture is a beautiful blend of traditional Arabian design and functional railway infrastructure.
Visitors can explore the station's museum, which houses a collection of artifacts, photographs, and exhibits that provide insights into the construction and operation of the Hejaz Railway. The museum effectively narrates the challenges faced during its construction, making it an educational experience for history enthusiasts.
However, it's important to note that the Hejaz Railway Station is not just a relic of the past. It serves as a reminder of the region's enduring commitment to its cultural heritage and its role in the global history of transportation.

It is very close to masjid e nabawi and a must visit place in Medina. There is no fees to visit this museum. Not too crowded. I'll suggest you to visit in the morning as there is no AC working and hence it is very hot at noon.

Railway Station was built in early 1900 by Ottomans, in ear of Sultan Abdul Hamid. Station was the end of Hejaz rail line which starts from Syria. It’s free for public, and was very interesting in terms of architecture. Building was well maintained and surrounded court yards was renovated. Across from Station you will find Sultan Abdual Hamid Mosque, is architecture was built in a similar ottoman mosque design and architecture.

Great place to visit when you’re in Madina, it’s the old ottoman train station with a beautiful old ottoman mosque built by Sultan Abdülhamid II in 1908 (masjid al Anbariya). Inside of the station you’ll find a nice little museum (and free !) and behind you’ll have a beautiful garden in which you’ll find Masjid As Suqya which is a masjid that used to belong to Saad bin Abi Waqqas (radhiAllahu anhu) that was next to a well in which the Prophet ﷺ used to perform wudhu and loved to drink its water.

It is also the largest museum in Madinah. Many antiques are on display here.
First written Qur'an, early paintings of Madinah, histories of kings and objects used by them.
Visiting there will give you a very good knowledge about Madinah and Saudi Arabia, especially the ancient histories.

It was built by the Ottoman Empire 1900 - 1908 Starts from Istanbul, Turkey. Passing through Syria and Jordan and ending in Medina. It's a shame for those who put it in this situation. It's really sad!
Rest in peace
