Velika Remeta Monastery

To be honest the best thing about this monastery was the monk with whom I had conversation about differences between orthodox and catholic church.....his answer, power. Loved it🤣🤣🤣
Anyway the church is old, frescos are renewed. And you can buy their products like honey or rakija on the way out.

One of the most beautiful monesteries in Fruska Gora. Has beautiful garden and small ethno village houses prior to the main entrance. Grgeteg and Krušedol not far as well.

The monastery and the monastery estate are magnificent. Peace, tranquility and silence. The monks are kind and generous. We go there very often. Children find peace in socializing with animals and in the nature of the monastery property. Meadow honey is the best honey I have ever tasted in my life.

We arrived walking from Grgeteg monastery, it's a pleasant 45 to an hour walk one way all through the forest.

Monastery Velika Remeta ia definitely worth visting it! Rich and turbulent history, friendly and positive monks, beautiful architecture and frescoes and big very nice yard. High recommendations!

Not only monastery but whole area sorrounding it is definitely worth of visiting. You can also buy here some regional products.

A very pretty monastery with a beutiful front garden that is more of a park than anything else.
It has a small man-made lake with many ducks and geese.

It also features a grand multi-level man-made waterfall that on it's top has a small praying gazebo and a cemetery.

It is very peaceful and quiet and I would recommend visiting.

Lots of history. No crowds.

This is a church of Saint Dimitrios, the fountain of myhrr. You must visit this holy place especially if you travel to Greece. This protector of Thessaloniki will protect also you in your way to see.

Absolutely beautiful -- the outdoor trails are gorgeous, even in the cold and snow of the winter. The monks in the bookstore are so kind and friendly, generously giving gifts to our little girl. The icons are such amazing prices and they are so beautiful -- I want to go back for more. The honey is also quite nice, as well as the rakija, homemade or shall I say, monastery-made.

One of the most beautiful monasteries in Serbia. Every year at Easter time I go there. For many years this was my first bicycle ride in new year (Novi Sad to Velika Remeta) after winter pause.

Beautiful stunning frescoes in the church. We also hiked the adjacent national park.
