This is the historical centre of Belgrade, with nice terraces and restaurants where you can find good food.
Almost everybody speaks English, so the communication is excellent!
We visited this ppace three times now and we did not have enough yet.

For people to enjoy in this part of Belgrade they must understand what Skadarlija is spiritually presenting. In my opinion, this place is the cultural and spiritual heart of Belgrade. It's unique and unmistakable. This place is not just a gastronomic center but something much more. Skadarlija is a bohemian quarter in the center of Belgrade (Skadarska ulica). Street Skadarska, is about 500 meters long, it is located in the most stunning center of Belgrade. This is our favorite place. Due to the proximity of the National Theater, there were many actors in the late 19th and early 20th century. Naturally, other artists, poets, writers, painters came after with the actors. And of course, there are numerous restaurants and cafe bars ( Kafana ) synonyms of Skadarlija, some of them is the oldest in Belgrade. Famous and significant artists used to come here who entered the history of Serbian culture like Đura Jakšić, Danilo Danilović, Dobrica Milutinović…. Skadarlija is a must-see place to visit today. There are known restaurant ( Kafana ) Tri šešira, Dva jelena, Ima dana, Putujući glumac ( three hats, two deer, some days, traveling actor ) ...... Here are cooked very good authentic local dishes. Skadarlija is also the place where after weddings comes to take dinners, enjoyment and entertainment. Here is always cheerful live music. Lovely place with good atmosphere.

A very romantic street. With flowers and old low buildings which in combination with the road full of little stones makes it look very differently from the other part or streets of the city.
There you find the best traditional food from Serbia and sometimes also music.

Lively street, lined with local restaurants with live music. All the restaurants look pretty much the same and offer similar, Serbian menus. I personally love the cobblestone streets and the vibe of the place after sunset.

Really nice place to visit in Belgrade, Serbia. Never miss to visit this place if you ever comes to Belgrade. It's a main attraction of the city. Probably most of the people miss this place, since it's not that attaractive when you look from the main road and it's little bit away from the Republican Square.
But once you enter inside the Bohemian Quarter area, it will be surely a surprise for you. The arrangement in front of the shops are that awesome. It would be really nice if you visit there after 7 PM in summer, since most of the shops are live after 7 PM. Most of the shops has also arranged musical programs for entertainment. At evening light arrangements in the street will surely be a pleasing view for your eyes.
Most of the shops inside the quarter are little bit expensive when compared to other areas in Belgrade. But still if you want to feel the ambiance, you should definitely have a dinner from the street.
Republican Square and the Bohemian Quarter are really nearby, so if you visit Bohemian Quarter, never miss to vist the Republican Square, Kalemegdan Park, fort area and vise versa.
Most probably it would be better if you visit Serbia on the summer, so that you can have a lot of enjoyment.

If you have come to Belgrade, you will already be coming to this street as well. The tourist and the locals are having fun here as well. Select one of the right-left places along the way and enjoy it. Try traditional music and food absolutely.

Bohemian quarter and one of the oldest streets in Serbian capital. It has a rocky, Turkish built road that gives authenticity to this artistic quarter/street. A lot of very old restaurants (the oldest - Tri šešira is more than century at the same at spot) can be enjoyed here. Very popular amongst tourists.

Lovely place to explore and to enjoy the local food and atmosphere. Highly recommended if you visit Belgrade. Beautiful street art and local musicians.

Belgrades "Jekyll and Hyde". Nice and quite in the daytime and full of life at night. The bohemian quarters, boulder stone street and lots of restaurants and bars is a must visit when in Belgrade. A short walk from Republic Square and you're in a "different world".

Best part of Belgrade, went there twice for breakfast and dinner again. Loved it all. Souvenir shop lady is really helpful and knowledgeable. Must visit.

n my personal opinion it's a must in Belgrade, but evening and/or late evening is better.
A nice and cosy atmosphere, wonderful lights, music for all tastes and excellent food, staff, barmans etc.

One of the best parts of Belgrade. Always packed of people day or night. If you are foreigner you should definitely visit this street. It looks like the time is frozen in the beginning of last century.

It is a pitoresque and serbian bohemian experience - if you like traditionsl dishes, Serbian music and colorful, lively streets, this is the heart of it. Have a try - it shouldn't be missed if you are in Belgrade. For the quieter, more relaxed persons, there is a jazzy bar with hypster mood right at the end of the street.

Skadarlija is my favourite bohemian place and one of the prime tourist attractions. It includes well-known restaurants, bars, antique and souvenir shops and the Sebilj fountain. The bands play proper traditional music in the restaurants mostly focused on national specialties and drinks such as rakija, beer and wine. A must for every trip to Belgrade.

Skardarlija is a vintage street, an urban neighborhood and former municipality of Belgrade located in the municipality of Stari Grad (Old town). Is known as the main bohemian quarter of Belgrade. After Kalemegdan, Skadarlija is the second most visited tourist attraction in Belgrade contributing to one third of the city's foreign currency income. The restaurants are very welcoming and the food is very good, and you can choose amongst the different type of restaurants available all throughout the street.

We had 20 people for a Corporate team event, more than half of which had never been in Belgrade - and people are still talking about it! Skadarlija is awesome place

A trademark of nightlife when it comes to night out in restorans. A very must see top sights of Belgrade, street where u can have eighter lunch or dinner flavoured with some high quality wine or beer and local musicians playing just for you.

Best place for live authentic Serbian music and food, some modern places with live sports too, it's great in the summer and really just one of the best streets in Belgrade.

“The bohemian spirit of Belgrade”
Skadarlija is one of the must seen places in Belgrade. It is an old street with an old architecture which everyone must like. There is a lot of restaurants in old style with a live music where you can listen many almost forgotten songs from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. When I visit Belgrade last year, in December 2016, I take a long walk with my daughter in 11 p.m. and take a picture there. Skadarlija street is best known place where our famous poets goes in late 19th and 20th century and still represented the bohemian spirit of former Belgrade.
