Kalenić Green Market

One of the best ways to learn about the cost of living in a country is to go wander around inside a market place. This one located near Nikola Tesla Museum is huge with more than a hundred stalls selling all kinds of stuff from fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, bits, bread, flowers, clothing, accessories, etc.

I have come to the conclusion that Belgrade is cheaper than a lot of other European cities to live in. Cheaper than even some Asian cities.

Nice little market in the heart of old town Belgrade. Was nice to walk through and sample all the local flavors

The [Mesara Ljuba] shop is the my favorite butcher shop! The Auntie is very friendly and the meat is very tasty! And also you can choose the one keep in the vacuum, so that you can keep it longer time even you are traveling! Don’t miss such an amazing store !

You can buy cheap and fresh vegetables, fruits, flowers etc. Organic honey, sweets, ajvar, other authentic Serbian food items and groceries. and You can also get cheap second hand clothes. A wide variety of other things like Serbian puppet dolls, rugs, etc.

This is a great place to see all sides if Belgrade and to get some delicious fresh local food at a fraction of supermarket prices. I really wish we hadn't lost this type of market in Ireland because it's a great way to connect with your food and the the people who grow it. I've been here mostly in summer so the selection of fresh fruit and veg is outstanding. There are lots of markets like this one around Belgrade, I recommend you stop by especially if you have cooking facilities where you're staying.

You can have a nice chat with the sellers and shop. You can also haggle, that's the charm of trade.
The downside of the market is that the prices are high and the offer is not diverse, but if you buy in bulk, the seller will lower the price. I do not recommend buying flowers before and during memorial services because then the prices of flowers are immorally high.

Great and small shopping area to buy a lot of tasty stuff for your breakfast or other meals 😋

You can buy almost everything you need as vegetables , fruits or flowers. There are also small shops for meat and cheese.

Friendly local farmers market with wide range of organic produce.

This is where you should get your veggies, meat and fish!

Great market, from flowers to cheese, bakery, Christmas trees (yes we bought one). Gents playing chess too, though not that strong, easily beatable. Good fun nonetheless. Its definitely worth visiting.

Old good local market with fresh food every day. Not a tourist place, but worth visiting twice a week if you live in Belgrade.

Farmers market in Belgrade offers a fresh vegetables and fruits from the farm to the consumer directly. Clean and tidy with verity of offering.

Super great - we love places like this. The Serbians could be a little more friendly & show a smile once in a while. But very good food. For good and normal prices.

I made some new friends here, and we bought some awesome stuff. My friend bought some ancient grinders that were marked with the seal of the ottoman empire.

Large choice of goods, I think maybe in whole Belgrade. Prices are a bit higher than in other parts.

Biggest market in Belgrade. You can get all your fresh produce, meat, cheese, fish, coffee. There is a second hand market attached with some interesting goods.
