This place is very interesting place which will bring you back in some past time in Serbian history.
At the place you have a local guide who help you to understand some infos and the story of the place. He is a very nice and kind person. He also wrote a book which he sell for 200din/2eu.
Worth to buy for sure.

If you are near this place, wort to visit.
Enjoy

Significant monument to a historical battle and brave Serbian army that stood up to far greater enemy forces and gave their lives for freedom. If you have chance, try to learn more from the lovely family that keeps the tradition. Try to help their work either by buying souvenirs or donate, it would mean a lot to them.

Legendary and historical place for Niš and Serbia. Magnificent view from the top of the tower. Litle gift shop exists there, cash only :) There is a lot of parking space and drinkable water...also a free guide but only in Serbian ;)

A striking monument with a lot of history to it. I recommend visiting when the guard is there as he devoted his life to this exact monument and will be glad to tell you all about it in a striking manner and leave you speechless. Very hospitable place when you are on a planned visit, serving you coffee, ratluk and whatever is available at the moment.

The history is very interesting. In fact there was a gentleman that dedicates a great deal of his time to informing any who visit about this place and it's historical significance.

Visiting Čegar while the sun is setting is mesmerizing. Perfect blend of both city and setting sky view invokes nothing but feelings of pure grace and joy. Aside of that, Čegar holds an incredible historical value, and the story of this landmark can be read at the board there (there is an english version) or heared from one of the locals. It has no general goods shops, so I highly recommend bringing food with you.

A must see place for every person who visits Niš. It is a historic area but also provides good photo opportunity of the city of Niš. Clean and free parking around but no toilets! Somewhat challenging to people with disabilities.

This monument is a must visit for the Serbian tourist. You can go to the top of the tower and look around and take great panoramic pictures. The best part of our visit was that an unofficial local guide did an amazing 20 minute account of the battle of Cegar, what it meant at the time, and it's relevance today. He had peaches from his farm and rakija to refresh you. He has long flowing white hair, and if he is there during your visit you must stop and listen. This really made our trip to Serbia!
