Great point to go for a hike! The administration office is closed - however - you don’t actually need a guide for the hike! We chose Veliki Strbac - and we parked down at the trail, where a ranger meets you. Important is to have enough snacks & water with you as there are no shops around there to buy it! It was also a little steeper than advertised. but the view was absolutely amazing!

We really enjoyed this place. Rangers looking over this park were really friendly and nice and we could walk freely along the trail.

The best part were the views from maly and velky strbac and the fact, that we were almost alone the whole trip. Also seeing the few local sheds with cows was nice.

Dont forget to contact the rangers before entering the park.

We came to National Park Djerdap Center to get some information about hike to Ploče and Veliki Štrbac viewpoints and the park itself. It was told us we need a permition from ranger to hike. An employee called the ranger who came in five or ten minutes. Gave us all the information about park and path on the hike. But it's much better to book in advance, we were lucky to find free spot on that day.

The nature is fantastic but I don't understand our politicians does it to much expensive to make one road as befits to one of the most important site such as Lepenski vir.
