Did not stay overnight, but saw the rooms - quite spacious and clean. Rustic decor. Has sufficient parking space. We frequented the restaurant, which offers a good variety of food, including vegetarian options. Good prices. Approx 15 min drive from the slopes.

Excellent food, very tasty and laaaarge portions.
Staff is attentive, kind and professional.
There's no WiFi in the place, if there's work related requirements, this might be an issue. If you're running away from work though, perfect place.

Cosy hotel, good service and food. Minor issues in the room like everywhere. It has an area right next to the river great for relaxing, just turn off everything and listen to the sound of water. Just some dim lighting is missing there.

Very nice staff (Andrei was really nice and attentive). Great breakfast. Very clean room, quiet, furnished with lots of wood, cloud-soft bed. Motorcycle-friendly. Overall, amazing accomodations.

Great quality of rooms which were clean with good beds and pillows. Really great food too. We ordered the appetizers or "Zacusca" (Romanian local specialty like a vegetable spread) and Eggplant salad which were enough to share between a family of four. The "papanași" (sort of like fried dough with sour cream and jam on top) are also definitely worth trying as they will make your mouth water.

Excellent restaurant and staff ! We ate here both breakfast and several dinners, everything was perfect, the staff was really nice, the food is great and good quality. The breakfast beats a lot of high end restaurants when it comes to variety.

Relatively new (opened Nov.2014) this pension is offering accommodation at hotel comfort standards, furnished in traditional-modern stile. The restaurant menu has a large range of meat dishes, including venison meat. Placed on the Lotru river shore, surrounded by pine trees, it makes you feel in the middle of the forest. Good services, well prepared food, kind hosts are the ingredients for a nice staying.

Very good food, nice waiters, clean rooms. Bad road from Petrosani - but it isn’t their fault. We will come back

Edit: from 3 stars to 5 stars because, even though you have no signal and no WiFi and you can get lost easily, the hotel is amazing and rustic and the staff is very friendly

Such a nice place in the middle of nowhere, but quite close to the ski resort. Good food, good sleeping conditions.
