Great place to spend at least few hours. If you are with kids, if you like to walk slowly or you are looking precisely at everything at museums I recommend to spend here half a day or a whole day. The place is huge. It has a lot of houses, farms and etc from all centuries in Romania.
There are cafes, places to eat, places to rest, toilets. You basically can come here for whole day and relax.
Great place for kids

It was the best outdoor museum I ever saw. It is huge so take the full day but I can't guarantee that you will see it all. Maybe it is better with a guide but I loved the walk in nature.
They also had a restaurant with great fresh traditional food and home made wine.

You need at least 4 to 6 hours to visit, analyze, and gather information about all the houses. It's a full day experience but an amazing one. We just had 2 hours and we never knew when they passed. We only saw probably half of all the buildings or less and it felt super rushed. But oh boy, it really is something. Probably not as nice and arranged asuzeul Satului from Bucharest, but still, a nice one nonetheless, and also full of fresh air since it's also a park.

Great museum. It is huge. We literally spent hours wandering and still covered only about half of it (if even that). I totally recommend it, especially for families with kids. What is great is that most homes have doors through which you can see inside into the houses (or take pictures). It was a really great experience to see the simplistic (but I imagine hard) way of life of the people who lived a few centuries before us.
The 'villages' are in a small park/forest, so even though we visited on a summer day, we enjoyed some shade for most of the walk. Also, there are shops at one point where you can buy water and sweets, and you can also go to the toilets.
I don't think anyone could be dissatisfied with such a gorgeous place. Also, this is the first place where I was literally surprised by the calmness and friendliness of the staff. I mean - at least in my case - this was the greatest experience I've ever had with the staff of a place. No exaggeration!

Absolutely stunning open air museum where you can see all types of traditional building and habitation of Romanian people. Great examples of rural way of living. You can have a unique peek into Romania's folklore, their way of living and values. The place is HUGE so reserve yourselves at least 3 hours.

A very nice place that helps you travel back în time. Pretty big park, you need some hours if you want to see it all and enjoy. The ticket is ca.7 euros and you can buy it there without problems. There are also some restaurants where you can take a break and enjoy a traditional meal.

Beautiful natural setting, huge site, well preserved centuries old buildings, impressive collection of mills of all kinds. Inside the main entrance building there's an exquisite collection of old Romanian blouses and wedding garments, both male and female.

You can't spend time in Sibiu and not see this. It's a huge parc, with a beautiful lake and lots of trees, filled with old houses from across the country. It's a great way to spend a day, but bring sunscreen and comfy shoes.

The museum was above expectations, it includes houses from all over the country. The dimensions are impressive and it is very nice to see that there are places to eat and relax.
The food served in the stands are also traditional and authentic.

Wonderful place to take a walk, relax, even have a picnic and learn about romanian traditional houses. It is a good place for a date or speding quality time with your family. There is a small fair where you can purchase traditional gifts, food, or have a small meal and drink. After 6pm you can enter the museum on a bike, that's what i would recommend because the place is pretty big, but if you have enough time, walking is wonderful too. The staff is really nice and helpful, outside at the ticket place and inside at the fair as well.

Amazing place!!! You can easily spend a full day there. Even on a hot day, there is a lot of shade, making the walk a lovely experience. There are a lot of friendly ducks on the lake (very cute), you can find snacks, coffee, drinks, 2 restaurants, a church, icecream, toilets... the place is huge, there are a lot of houses to see, from various parts of Romania. The windmills are quite impressive and the lake is lovely. We also saw a cow and some sheep :) Loved every minute of it. A true village museum. I'd go back anytime.

To add to all this, the personnel is absolutely charming, helpful, polite and nice, providing every piece of information needed.

Great green park with a lake surrounded by various buildings from different times and places in Romania. Obviously is better with a guide, but is also enjoyable as a family walk

I would say that this is one of the best experiences you could have in Sibiu. So if you wanna see a bit of Romanian history, but also enjoy a great walking around the park, then this is the place 🙂

Keep in mind that even though there a lot of parking spaces, it gets really crowded.
