Hanul din Tulgheș

The perfect place to experiment Romanian cuisine. The food was amazing, staff well trained, committed and with a positive attitude.
It's has been a while since I ate such good food at a traditional Romanian restaurant.
The soops (ciorbă) were perfect. The lamb pastrami and porkchop with beans amazing.

Thank you for this experience we will definitely come back.

Delicious food and a lot of variety in the menu (international, traditional Romanian and also vegetarian options). The service is great, food is ready quickly and prices are more than good. We also enjoyed the live music. After lunch you can also enjoy a walk in the park. Highly recommend this place.

The staff is kind and prompt, I found seats easily, and the order came quickly. The food was good, the atmosphere pleasant.

Tasty and filling traditional Romanian food, nicely decorated restaurant and attentive and polite waiter (didn't get the young man's name but he made the experience so much better, slowly explaining the dish and what made it special)

Very friendly environment and super good food. Although people "complained" that the portions were too big, they barely left anything on the plate - that's how good everything was.

Great place to eat near Sibiu. The food is great and very tasty. Prices are on the lower side. The soop was delicious and the boiled papanași something different 😉

Traditional Romanian restaurant with big tasty portions and decent prices. A place I recommend checking out whenever you are around the open air Astra Museum. Worth to mention, during summer there's a beergarden

One of the best food AND service I encountered in ROmania. Everything was more than ok: food quality, waiter attitude, timing, toilets cleanliness, live music on the terrace, decent little jokes from waiter, more than decent prices! I almost never give 5 stars to restaurants... In fact, I think this is my first full 5 stars! Bravo, Hanul din Tulghes!

Good romanian food in a nice restaurant after a nice stroll through Astra traditional art museum which is basically a big park with very old houses that have been brought from all over Romania and rebuilt there.

Beautiful place in the park. I ordered the fish which was fantastically prepared. I recommend!!! Although the waiter was alone, but he worked bravely. I thank him.

Superb food, good variety, excellent staff and reasonable prices. Best get there as hungry as possible, the food portions are very generous. If you visit from abroad highly recommend is the tripe soup(ciorba de burtă in romanian) the one here was excellent, one can ad some cream to it or as it comes. Careful with the peppers as they are quite strong. Enjoy

Great service and super nice place to have a dinner after long walk at the park

The food was very good and the prices were low for how big the portions were. Lots of options and lots of traditional dishes. Very close to the zoo and the Astra Museum. Spatious and located in a place with lots of nature. Couldn’t recommend more.

It is one of the most authentic dining experiences one can have. Nelutu, the chef tantalized our senses with the best flavours, fresh soups , herb and spices and slow cooked baby pig head. Yes, you herd right! I never had anything like this in my life! Such flavours…I went back again and had Duck on Cabage, Tochitura and ribs cooked to perfection.
Everyone was top notch!!
