The Old Town of Timișoara

Going to Timisoara for a one day break was a good idea. The city center is well maintained, there are interesting pieces of architecture everywhere, everything is clean, lots of restaurants, young people, tourists.,
We visited Iulius town, great shopping mall, spotless garden outside...

Place to have a nice coffie ,chocolate or just enjoy outside in walking! Love it! Old gold!

A beautiful old town, with great architecture, magnificent parks, and wonderful places on the river. The only thing that I didn't like was pretty high prices in restaurants.

A somewhat very good balanced combination between recently renovated and unkept historical buildings, each with it's own beauty. Very animated, full of life city centre even in the late hours.

The old town of Timisoara is a beautiful and historic place, with a rich cultural heritage. It is a great place to wander around and soak up the atmosphere, or to visit some of the many historical attractions.
The main square, Unirii Square, is the heart of the old town and is home to some of the city's most iconic buildings, including the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Roman Catholic Cathedral, and the Palace of Culture. The square is also a great place to people-watch, or to enjoy a coffee or meal at one of the many outdoor cafes.
The old town is also a great place to shop for souvenirs or to enjoy a traditional Romanian meal. There are many small shops and restaurants selling everything from traditional Romanian handicrafts to international cuisine.
There are plenty of parking areas, but can be limited and you have to pay. All the parking on the city centre is the green parking where everyone has to pay as little as 0,98 euro for the first hour. You can also download TPARK app and pay in the app, which I consider to be very helpful.

If you come to Timisoara Romania i recomand you to visit the The old Town is amazing place.. in the night you have a lot of lights
And is a masiv place you can see al center just wolking 30..40 min.. You have a lot of coffee shops and Pubs.
Clos you have the buss stop you can go in all direccions.

Nice part of town for walking, shopping and eating. Plenty of restaurants in close vicinity, spaceous square and nice looking.

A beautiful historical place with most of the old colourful buildings restored. You have 3 important squares between you can have a walk. Pigeons very friendly if you feed them.

We visited the town centre at the beginning of December 2023. Heartwarming Christmas atmosphere, lots of restaurants and coffee houses, museums and jaw dropping old architecture. Easy to spend a day or two without running out of things to experience.

It's beautiful here, wonderful for wandering round and something new round every corner. The architecture is like something out of a hundred different fairytales

Perfect place to enjoy the Christmas fair!

The all area is very clean, even the public toilets are super clean. Many awesome building to see and some very interesting Art Nouveau buildings. A small issue was the parking. Overall the experience was very nice. Timisoara, you are great 👍👍👍👍👍

Very beautiful place, especially in the evening, it's very lively. Also, I love this city as it's really clean and people are nicely dressed... also their accent is lovely, you should visit it when you get the chance

Very beautiful center with the cathedral in the front, it’s beautiful even in the winter, but if you are here in the summer when all the restaurants are open it’s just the best.

Beautiful place to visit

Beautiful place. Christmas markets have started, we enjoyed it very much. Plenty of food options. The famous ones are the placinta, kürtőskalács and langos. Plus traditional Romanian food. There are also mulled wine and hot chocolate. Prices are reasonable compared to Budapest Christmas markets (which are ridiculous!).
