Juan Valdez Café

My favorite coffee place in Asunción. Even though there are quite as few competitors Juan Valdez consistently has the best coffee in the city.

A great place to enjoy a cup of authentic colombian coffee, located in one of the most turistic zones of Asunción downtown. This coffee house, warmly arranged with lots of dark wooden furniture is just around the corner the famous Bolsi restaurant.. so if you´re in the mood for either lunch or dinner you just have to cross the street. Though spacious and comfy it may be a bit crowded and noisy at times. If you need a little bit of intimacy you can choose one the tables in an ample mezzanine trough a solid wooden stair. The prices are ok.. a breakfast consistent of a good cup of capuccino and mixto (a kind of ham and cheese sandwich but with toasted bread) costs around 30.000 guaraníes.. about 5,5 US dollars. In all, a lovely place to watch Asunción locals pass by, while sharing a cup of delicious coffee..

I was very surprised to find dirty chai here. Also they have local brand of alfajor.
The staff was very nice. They even filled my thermos with ice and water for my tereré.
Recommended also if you wanna work or study there on the second floor.

Juan Valdez agrada as pessoas que apreciam um cafézinho. A decoração é linda. O aroma logo ao entrar é encantadoramente delicioso. O ar condicionado refrigera super bem! O sofázinho, que é onde eu estou sentada, é confortável!

Este JV aqui está localizado bem ao lado do restaurante Bolsi (meu favorito em Asunción!). Ou seja, vc faz uma refeição deliciosa e, depois, vem aqui para apreciar um spresso e um cookie (ovs.: existem outras opções de bebidas e itens para comer).

O valor é elevado, no entanto. Um spresso foi 16.000 guaranies e um cookie foi 18.000 guaranies. Um total de 34.000 guaranies por um cafezinho e um biscoito. Em contraste, meu almoço, que foi filé de frango às finas ervas com arroz à grega e uma água com gás, custou 58.000 guaranies. Cafezinho 34.000. Refeição completa 58.000.

Ainda assim, eu recomendo a experiência!!!

(Hoje um real converte em 1.330 guaranies. Cafezinho por 25,56 reais. Almoço por 43,60 reais.

Uno de mis lugares favoritos para estar en Asunción. Me encanta este lugar porque es muy amigable, es asombroso con café rica de Colombia. También las personas trabajan en una manera amigable!

Indiscutiblemente el mejor café. Lugar espectacular para llevar la notebook y hacer labores mientras tomas un rico café.

¡Excelente lugar! La atención y comodidad del local permite disfrutar y pasar un buen rato. El café una delicia y ni hablar de la red velvet.

Es el local más grande de Juan Valdez que hay en la ciudad. Ambiente cálido, la música traquila bastante chill, el café característico de Juan Valdez, buen wifi para trabajar y varios enchufes. Varias opciones para comer saladas y dulces. La atención muy buena.
