This place was amazing! They have a huge tank in the middle with all kinds of fishes and baby sharks and the aquarium was built around the tank so no matter where you go or which floor, you have a view of this tank. They have benches for you to sit and just take in the view, peace and quiet. I loved the penguin section and watching the otters swim. It is a must if you are visiting Lisbon.

I loved everything about this place. The staff was fantastic, courteous, and were multilingual. The displays were huge. I mean huge. There's a giant tank in the middle that you can stop and see in-between seeing all of the other exhibits. And all of the exhibits were incredibly educational (great for kids), and fun to watch. None of them felt forced, it was just the animals in their "natural" environment. I strongly advise going here for a day trip. You can also bundle tickets for the cable cars in with your ticket to the aquarium, so you can quickly and easily get to the mall and restaurant strip ~1KM away

Amazing. The big tank with multiple points of view is great to see all the fish. The side exhibits were also nice. There was also another beautiful sea-related installation near the entrance, showing lots of fish and vegetation. Wet came with two small kids and everyone really enjoyed the visit.

The main tank is huge and full of various kinds of fish, sharks and rays. Really enjoyed spending 2 hours walking around. Would highly recommend if you enjoy taking time to see the wonderful creatures of our oceans. One of the bigger I have ever visited.

Oceanarium was really good! They have one massive circular section which has four of its own areas. On the outer circular you see penguins, puffins. There’s also areas for smaller creatures like jellyfish, smaller fish, eels.

Loved the sharks and guitar fish!

Wonderful aquarium! Unlike those in the States, this aquarium was more focused on the beauty and balance of nature than on fun, something I didn't know I would love! They have a lovely diversity of plants and animals.
Okay shop, good food selection that was affordable, frequent and clean toilets.

Now this is how an ocean aquarium should look like everywhere. It is so clean, well maintained, with healthy biodiversity. It is not very big, but it screams quality over quantity. And don't get me wrong, it is not lacking diversity or things to see, oh no. It has everything you want to see in an aquarium and designed in a very smart way. I go to the local aquarium anywhere in the world, where I travel despite the fact that I also dive a lot, but I have to say, this is one of the best ones. Great job.

Great value! I have seen the aquarium’s in NYC, Baltimore, Atlanta, and others! This place definitely stands out amongst them as one of the best. Giant tank with multiple viewing points to ensure that you have a viewing experience of every fish. The exhibits were very well maintained and very well done. I highly recommend checking this out with your family if you are in town! It was incredible!

It's a great place to clear your head, watch fish and other oceans creatures and relax. There's a lot to learn about different species and you can find some interesting ones in there too! Otters were the best thing to watch for me, as they were very cute and playful. Some of the animals there have a history of their finding, family trees - it's nice to learn all that.
On top - it has a lot of things for kids to see and play with (interactive corners).

Absolutely worth every penny. This oceanário is one of the best (if not the best) I've even visited. It's huge and everything is so well explained and nice. I loved the cute otters and was lucky to see the penguins being fed. Do not miss this, it's such a wonderful and soothing place l totally recommend it.

Easily one of the best aquariums I've been to. The design and layout of the place is very well thought-out, with the central 'main' tank being visible from a total of 8 main viewing windows across two floors and several smaller windows; the benefit of this is that you don't get the usual crowding of the main exhibits and when we visited on a Monday afternoon we were able to take our time in taking in the incredible atmosphere of the underwater landscape. It's amazing how close you can get to the stars of the show unlike other aquariums. The building is divided up into quarters, each relating to a different part of the world. There were some very surprising exhibits like the sea otters and penguins. I liked the inclusion of seabirds too. Finally, I loved the message of the aquarium, was particularly surprised to hear Carl Sagan's pale blue dot monologue in one of the rooms, very much sums up the message they want to leave you with. A must-visit place if you enjoy aquariums.

Realy nice place for 3-4 hours, if with children even longer. Variety of species, big central aquarium which looks different in different angle. Also liked very much fresh water aquarium.
Tip, go to eat downstairs 1st floor to gift shop better than near the entrance on the 2nd floor. On the 1st floor menu is bigger.
If going on weekend, suggestbto buy ticket in advance.

Fantastic place. We were there third time in past 10 years. Tickets are pricey but worth it. The only negative thyI could say is that place is really overcrowded. To many people there at once. You have to queue to take free picture. Who knows it might be only certain hours. Any way I strongly recommend you won’t be disappointed.

Cane to visit during our first trip to Lisbon, totally worth it. A little out of the way from the city but easy to get to. A great idea for a date day. Would recommend going in the evening (around 4 or 5pm) when it’s less crowded. The underwater forest is a must see

fantastic place for the kids and families, enjoyed the various maritime creatures, the sharks and the sunfish are rarely seen in Nordic aquariums. I respect the attitude of the aquariums to be not a place to visit but also an educational center for kids to know more about biodiversity and the importance of the environment.

It was such a great day, We spend more then 4 hours inside, you just can't leave. Other reviews suggest 1-2 hours inside but I think you need to spend more time there. Great coffee place inside.

Definitely worth a visit! Great place, amazing and relaxing atmosphere. It will be very interesting for both children and adults.
The oceanarium is open every day, even on Christmas eve, when we were here.
