Amazing food, friendly host!

What a very special eating experience! The host was utterly charming in a very quiet, unassuming way, the food was utterly delicious ( the options were small but that suited us fine as it meant everything was freshly cooked), the recommended bottle of local white wine was crisp and beautifully matched to the food, and the ambience in this small, cosy restaurant was just wonderful. We could not have wished for a nicer, more life-affirming eating experience.....which was topped off by the glorious voice of Marizza, a young Fado singer, in concert on TV. A very special, memorable evening.

Fantastic place in this rural area for foodies. It seemed to be a one-man-show of the straight talking owner waiter DJ chef.
Delicious Iberico ham, and cheese to start. Then 5 of the 7 of us had absolutely melt in the mouth cow cheeks…. food heaven. Everyone enjoyed their plate. I tried my friend’s secrets (pork)… cooked to perfection. To get extra bread and water was a bit slow but all completely acceptable under the circumstances! Nice chilled out atmosphere. Savoury is the forte for me, as I don’t especially have a sweet tooth, but there was a reasonable selection of puddings. Book a space if you can in this cute little restaurant. Will try and get to listen to the chefs dj-ing before we leave the area.

Small place - seating for 20 - but what a gem! Food was amazing , service fantastic , atmosphere authentic and that was just for lunch.

Simply the best. We tried many restaurants in the region an Cabana comes as best by far. Louos serves local meals like burras which are so good you can barely believe your sense of taste. There's always a choice of dishes from other parts of Portugal or other regions as well (also amazing). Cabana it's a tiny restaurant full of local people and everybody here long and wide will recommend it to you. And for a good reason.

Great place, with a great host and delicious "petiscos". Do try the Alentejo craft beer, it's delicious and in combination with the food will make you want to come back asap. We sure do ;)

Espaço pequeno mas super acolhedor!! Chefe muito atento e com bastante sabedoria do produto e da zona envolvente!!
Recomendado pelo chefe comemos umas "BURRAS" e "PLUMAS" ambas as carnes 5*
As Burras desfazem-se na boca, carne super tenra!!
Já nas Plumas a carne tem um sabor excelente!!
Acabamos por acompanhar com um vinho "Florão" tinto de 2019.
Fechando com uma sobremesa com Bolo Bolacha Crocante e Tarte Frutos Vermelhos.

Se estiverem por perto visitem e desfrutem deste pequeno grande espaço!!

Reservamos ya que sólo tiene 6 mesas.
Nos atendieron genial, el dueño nos explicó en perfecto español la carta y nos hizo recomendaciones.
La comida y postre muy buenos y en cantidad suficiente para dos personas.
Volveremos.

Fiz 200kms (Ida e volta) para ir conhecer este restaurante, aconcelhado por um familiar que ja conhecia a Cabana.
Valeu a pena cada km!..
Reservei com 24h de antecedência.
À chegada, fiquei um pouco apreensivo pelo tamanho do espaço, apenas seis mesas de 4 pessoas cada mesa, mas uma decoração bonita, tipica alentejana.
O anfitrião, pelo que vi, é o unico trabalhador, pelo menos no dia que la estive. E mais pessoas para quê?! Ele toma muito bem conta do recado👍
Eramos 3 adultos, entrada de queijo e presunto, que fazia crescer agua na boca, de seguida, alheira de porco preto, secretos e plumas, foi o nosso manjar, a bebida foi cerveja e para sobremesa, um doce típicamente alentejano, Siricaia.
Tudo Divinal!!!

Se alguém foi a este restaurante e não gostou, só pode mesmo ter calhado em um dia menos bom...
