A WOW out of a fairytale. Nothing beats spending a night or 2 in a castle, and this is what you get. The staff is supper friendly, the hotel and rooms very large and accommodating, food (we had dinner and breakfast) is great. I attached the view from the window when waking up - it speaks for itself. Highly recommended!

Beautiful place to spend the night and explore. The price was inexpensive and the room was awesome.

A great space for events in the courtyard which was covered for the event but with a clear tent so you could see the sky.

We really liked the mountain view we had and the big bed. The breakfast is nice and the price to quality ratio is perfect. The staff is friendly and nice, especially the young gentleman with curly hair :)

Such a magical experience! We loved everything about our visit to this beautiful castle!

We stayed with our 4 year old twin daughters and 2 dogs. (It’s also pet friendly!) I just cannot say enough about how happy we were with our choice to stay here.

The dogs are accustomed to hotel living in the USA, and felt right at home and really enjoyed themselves. Everyone was so friendly to them, staff and other guests as well! The pet amenity was THE BEST ONE I’ve ever received at a hotel and the dogs have stayed in hotels for about 300 room nights across the USA and now Portugal.

The twins loved staying in the castle and still talk about it. The room (we had a suite) was very spacious and perfect for our family of 4 and two dogs. We never had to ask for anything because the hotel just put things where you expected to find them at every turn.

The breakfast was absolutely wonderful. The selection was great and everyone had something to eat regardless of their dietary needs or wishes. Dinner was amazing too. The twins had octopus and loved it! The servers were all so friendly and accommodating!

The reception staff were all so friendly and helpful. They really made sure we loved every part of our visit.

The views are amazing, the castle is amazing, and the staff is the best I’ve encountered so far in Portugal.

Had a great stay, feeling like kings. Dogs were allowed!

Fantastic hotel in an old castle with very friendly staff, great views and a top notch breakfast, the Pastel de Nata in particular was really tasty.

They were also very accommodating, we had early starts on some mornings and were able to take breakfast early.

You cannot ask for a better stay in the castle country.. right inside a castle..yet with modern amenities.. they have elegantly maintained the castle to give the feel of old age.. and such beautiful views from the castle.!!

Amazing hotel in such a unique location. (not often you get to stay in a castle and be treated like a king/queen!)

Just the most amazing building and location, with terrific views and rooms.

We stayed in this hotel for a wedding. The staff was very helpful and communicated thoroughly with us. The rooms were clean and medieval. It also had a beautiful church attached to it with excellent places for photo opportunities. They also had a small ceramic shop with beautiful vases. The restaurant was also attached, I did not eat there, but my friends did and they said it was delicious! I attached photos of the beautiful walkways around the castle and the wonderful view from our room.

Great place to stay before heading to the airport. The location is fantastic, with amazing views of Santarem. The castle and grounds are fun to explore. The check-in process was smooth and comfortable with plush armchairs to sit in. Parts of the hotel felt ancient (in a good way) and the room was nice, with double doors which made it so I never heard my neighbors coming / going from their rooms. The dinner was a bit pricey, but quite delicious. I recommend the goat cheese, honey, walnut, puff pastry appetizer. Breakfast was also quite tasty with a wide variety of options. Highly recommended.

Amazing place where we are always wanting to return.. we also had our wedding day here and it couldn't been so special.
Food is really good quality in the restaurant and breakfast. Staff is always with a smile. Rooms are large with great views and the all place is very clean.
Definitely recommend.

A wonderful place where we stayed with our young kids. The room was huge and very comfortable. We visited the castle in the morning and the view was beautiful. It was a great experience for all of us. Will reccomend to whoever wants to stay in a high class and unique place

The castle alone is really great for an easy, free, day-trip, especially with small children in tow. Has a beautiful, attached, hotel and restaurant if staying overnight. The staff there are really kind. Beautiful venue for events!

Beautiful restored castle with lots of historic artifacts. Wonderful and friendly staff. Here you are treated like Kings and Queens.

Just wow! This was the best and most unique hotel we ever stayed at. It’s located in a beautiful castle and offers amazing views. The rooms are clean and breakfast is excellent (includes Champagne, fresh juices and good coffee). Highly recommend this hotel!
