Great meal! The service & food was top notch at this place. Get the shellfish Açorda & a house wine that will keep ur soul full for some time.

The service provided was simply amazing. Our server spoke multiple languages & his mastery of Portuguese and English was excellent.

What a little gem! Hidden behind a nondescript shopfront in a backstreet of Evora, is this great restaurant. We went the first night and were blown away by the food. So much so that despite a minor disaster (a painting fell off the wall on to our table, shattering a wine glass which sprayed glass and red wine everywhere) we decided to book for dinner the next day. Again the food was amazing! The staff are also really friendly and helpful (recommended great wines that didn’t break the bank). To top it all, it’s really reasonably priced. Book if you can as the place is tiny (only 22 seats) and they fill up quickly.

We stopped by for lunch on a Thursday. The place got pretty packed after 1pm. There few tables so you should make a reservation. The food was really good. We tried the vegetarian tofu and egg dish and the pork cheeks on wine. Both delicious. Red House wine and the cheese and sourdough bread that came in as appetizer were top notch as well. Staff was super friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and feels like eating at home. It is very comfortable but not extravagant. Would recommend, especially for the vegetarian options as they are hard to find, especially in a local Portuguese restaurant like this one.

Amazing place! The service is fantastic, the guys are so friendly and helpful. The food is so good. And even the house wine is so nice.

Everything about this place is perfect. They were full when we arrived. But, the lovely manger took the speaker off a small table outside and got chairs from his van to accommodate us while we waited for a table. The regional food was spectacular. The bread was so tasty. We had the fish soup dish from the region and cod cakes. Book ahead in case you are not as lucky as we were.

Recomended by a lovely Court cleark this nice restaurant inside Évora citadel is must for traditional food. I had "lagartos" (griled black pig thin filletes) and it was great. Prices are relatively high but in line with the quality of the produts and the service. It was packed for lunch so come early or try to book first.

The restaurant has an amazing and authentic atmosphere. It is a small cozy place with very friendly and helpful staff. After few seconds you will love this traditional Portugal place and you will look forward to enjoy your meal. During the waiting time you will get very tasty tapas – we got olives, bread, octopus salad. The owner of the restaurant is charming man and during the whole time we felt that it is his pleasure to host us. We had a perfect tasty tuna steak. We highly recommend this
place but to be sure that you will have a table – book it in advance. We went around at 7 pm and booked) the table to 8 pm. It was full during the evening and people was waiting a long time to get the seat. It is a cozy restaurant for app. 20 people but definitely you must try it during your stay in magic place Évora. We will remember this nice experience for a long time.

Great experience. Very tasty moelas and sopa de caçao. Fresh pao alentejano, good vinho de casa. Fair prices and nice service. A bit far from the center but it is worth to do the effort and make a walk. Congratulations!

Amazing food and service. Really cozy and the servers are funny and caring. Will return when I get the chance. I got the Migas de Bacalhau and it was one of the best dishes I had in Alentejo.

Amazing experience here!! We went twice in our 5 night stay in Evora. We loved the owner and our server Carlos! Recommend the dog fish soup, anything pork and probably anything on the menu. Do not hesitate and make a reservation :)

I forgot to take any picture. Honestly, the dishes weren’t Instagram worthy and so I expected little when I first tasted the food. But once I tasted the migas and some cod soup…. Very tasty. I think the 2 dishes we tried were very local to the region. I haven’t seen them before and haven’t seen them again once I left evora.
