Only been here in monte gordo 2 days but visited twice, excellent location, best coffee and toasties in a while, I definitely recommend a visit.

Very nice bar overlooking the fishing boats. Sangria nice, tuna toasty also was well presented and tasted nice. 8 Euros for both.

I always love to visit Rui’s “toes in the sand bar”…I’m local in VRSA (been living here 5 years) and it’s a favorite. Rui is kind and serves a fabulous cold beer/cocktail and some toasties (like a panini for us Americans). Enjoy the first rate location and friendly vibe. Say help to the owner Rui as he is usually on hand to make sure everything runs smoothly. Love this spot. And trust me I’ve been to many. I have lots of videos around this area on YouTube under American in Portugal.

Used by the fishermen at the far end of the boardwalk so not a posh bar and that's why we love it

Everybody loves this place because of it's location and friendliness. The fisherman's boats in-between the sea and the bar form a picturesque view.
Whilst sitting under a parasol, feet in the sand, a mojito on the table and a soft cool breeze from the sea you can watch the sun go down before trundling back across the board walk. Definitely a great place to hang out in Monte Gordo.
