Such a beautiful place. Gorgeous setting, fabulous room (with a fridge), and a genuinely warm welcome. Great breakfast. There is no café or restaurant so guests have to make their own arrangements for lunch and dinner, although the range of dishes available at breakfast means you probably won't want any lunch!

A fantastic place to relax inside nature. The service is fantastic with very professional collaborators and very good food. The salty water pool is the best place to spend some time after interacting with the horses and donkeys that they have. Love it all.

Have enjoyed staying here twice in the past. Lovely owners with an interesting backstory. Breakfast was terrific. Luis took us out for a hike one day too. Great for a relaxing break.

Hands down best place we stayed at in Portugal. Antonio and his family go above and beyond to make this stay memorable. Have stayed at everything from the most expensive/exclusive in Lisbon and Algarve to AirBnB’s throughout; nothing compares if you want an inviting atmosphere, beautiful grounds to walk on and an amazing breakfast. Will definitely be coming back with family or alone.

This is the closest to heaven you can get. Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, the thing that makes them stand out are the small details and wonderful staff. They are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. The breakfast is amazing and you feel the warmth in their hospitality.

This is the second time our group of friends has stayed at Quinta do Chocalhinho, and both times were perfect. The place is simply wonderful: the lodgings are tastefully furnished and equipped to a very high standing, including very comfortable beds and impeccable toilets; the breakfast is amazing (in quality, quantity and diversity); the farm area (donkeys, geese, pigs...) lovely; the hosts extremely friendly and helpful; the cats and dogs adorable. A perfect location to explore the beautiful Costa Alentejana, and/or simply to stay put and enjoy the quietness - highly recommended!

I stayed at the hotel with my partner and 2 year old son for four nights and it was a fantastic part of our holiday. The owner and staff were all very friendly. We stayed in an apartment with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and lounge. All the rooms have a small oudoor seating area and back onto the pool and garden.
Cots, high chairs and a little step are provided in the bathroom for the younger visitors which was great.
There is a swimming pool, playground and farm animals. Our son especially liked feeding the horses!
The food also served was wonderful. Breakfast consisted of an array of breads, pastries, fruit, jams, meat, cheese, cake and a selection of eggs made to order.
Dinner is available on request and we opted to have it one night and that was delicious to.
It is located just outside the town and we took day trips to the beaches which were about 30 minutes away.
I would highly recommend a stay here.

What to say? If there is paradise on Earth, this place is close by. From the friendliness of Teresa, Margarida and Luís, to the discreet competence of the other employees, the excellent breakfast, the daily concern with cleaning, the immaculate, heated swimming pool, the tennis court and… the animals. Yup. It makes all the difference for those who have children. His joy in the interaction was noted. The days flew by. I could have stayed among the leafy trees of that valley (magnificent walk and views), but I made a short escape to the village and beaches. Just as a complement. Congratulations. It was the first of many visits.

We absolutely loved this rural guesthouse. The owners were incredibly welcoming, the room was perfect and the breakfast fabulous. The highlight though were the animals. Gorgeous dogs, horses, donkeys, pigs and lots more, all really well cared for.

Fantastic dinner, outstanding food, and a beautiful room with a very comfortable bed. And a fantastic and delicious breakfast to start our first day of walking. We found that place last minute and what a surprise. Beautiful location, quality of room, furnish with great taste. Very comfortable bed. Owned by a family absolutely delightful. We had a breakfast like king and had home made quince paste like my grandmother. Thank you

A great great great place! An amazing place. Calm, chill, I’m the middle of a beautiful little valley of its own, just outside the little city and a few kilometers away from the most beautiful praises of the Alentejo coast. The breakfast is so good and the rooms so sujet. Loved it!

Wonderful place! We had such a great time. The place is beautiful, the host are happy to meet our requests. The swimming pool and the tennis court are a major plus! Breakfast is delicious also ! Thank you again !

A wonderful place, we felt like in heaven. Lovely people, lovely animals and the food was so amazing. It you like high quality and a quite wonderful place then you should go here. When we ever travel again in that area we will come back.

i only spoke once in the phone. lovely conversation about chargers. for my ioniq it would be cheaper than the 2 public chargers in odemira but still a bit expensive.

Great location. Nice rooms with a small fridge. Clean. The hostess was great as was the rest of the staff. Breakfast was 5/5. Overall a great stay.
