Landeau Chocolate

The chocolate cake slice is a must-have. I came by myself first, tried it and loved it. Later in the day my husband got a slice for himself and now he wants to come back another time for more.

Bloody good chocolate cake. Perfectly sweet, dark, and creamy. It makes you feel quite full and sleepy if have the whole slice. Yet, it is surprisingly light textured and soft.

Heard about the chocolate cake at this place, so I just had to try it despite being stuffed after lunch at 1300 Taberna. The chocolate cake had a deceiving look, it looks like a normal chocolate cake but it tastes absolutely amazing! Dare I say that it is one of the best if not the best chocolate cake i've tried. The cake was extremely moist and the bitter cocoa sprinkled on top balanced the sweetness of the cake. The flavor kept me going back for another bite despite me being so full! Absolutely no regrets stuffing myself with the chocolate cake from Landeau.

Heard a lot of hype about the chocolate cake. Glad we tried! It’s fantastic!! Like 5 euros a slice, but so creamy and rich.

We came in because I was having a sweet craving and oh boy did this place meet expectations!

The chocolate cake is so so incredibly good and I was almost tempted to get a second piece. It has just the right amount of sweetness and richness to the point where a second piece sounds like a good idea.

I’m also loving the decor they have going on!

Luscious and smooth chocolate cake that has just the right amount of sweetness—any more and it would’ve been too much for me. The ambience is relaxing, though there isn’t a lot of seating, which may be problematic when it’s peak season. I recommend coming in for a hot beverage and decadent cake on a cold December day.

The coffee was tasty and fairly reasonably priced.

I loved their choclate cake. Perfect sweetness and choclate melts in your mouth. I ordered hot choclate too to satisfy my cravings. Must visit in Lisbon.

Their chocolate cake is sooooo rich and yummy 😋 tried their hot chocolate with milk as well and I loved it. We came on a Sunday afternoon and we are the only ones in here.

Totally worth the visit. The chocolate cake is smooth, tasty and delicious. The perfect balance of sweetness. Just love it. The store is really nice and the deco is pretty.

Yes they can improve the coffee. And coffee goes great with such cake. But the cake is at least five stars!

I work in chocolate so I am very picky. When I hear a lot of hype about how good chocolate cake is, I’m skeptical. I love the chocolate cake at The Chocolate Room in Brooklyn. And I love the cake here! It is good. I wish they would sell mousse cups of the mousse on top of their cake for people that can’t eat gluten but ….they can’t do everything. What they do, they do well. I believe they use Valrhona chocolate but they told me they are not allowed to tell me. By the taste, I’m convinced the couverture they use is Valrhona. If you are going to use couverture, Valrhona is a good one. The design is gorgeous. The music Jao Gilberto or however you spell it . Lovely experience. We liked the hot chocolate too.
There info on cacao types in the glass is out of date. There are not only 3 types of cacao. A discovery by a scientist Motomayor has found there are at least 11 now but most people could care less. I’m just a chocolate nerd. I liked it.

If good was a cake he would be this chocolate cake!

Definitely the best chocolate cake I've ever had. It's not too sweet but creamy and extremely decadent. This is a MUST for any Lisbon vacation. Tidbit though - they tend to sell out due to the popularity so if it's 30 minutes before they close they are "most likely" sold out and will turn you away .. happened to me personally. Go within 1 hour of closing time just to be on the safe side and to guarantee you a slice of absolute heaven!

I usually don't like chocolate, but as Landeau's cake is said to be the best in the world I had to try. I was happily surprised to love it! Highly recommended, even for chocolate haters !

the chocolate cake does live up to the hype, it was really good but a bit sugary to my taste!

Omg. This chocolate cake is something else. Mouth and brain orgasm in the same time. Delicious mixture of chocolate, mascarpone and cocoa powder. Even though I’m not a fan of sweets, this cake blew my mind. Well done.

PS: small minus on very hot coffee, but I’m not gonna review it less than 5 stars anyway!
