Nice place. The kebab place did not take any cards, so couldn’t get food there. The beer place has great beers - Trinidade! Had burger from the hamburger place. Nice ambiance. The place has a lot of mosquitoes so make sure to rub some repellents 😂🥲

This is a great place to go. Super poshy, and packed with a lot of eateries. It was on the outskirts of lisbon in the city of Almada. Look forward to returning very soon.

The dynamism that the industrial zone of Almada once had, before being abandoned, is now regaining it again, with the arrival of Mercado da Romeira. The flavors of the 14 spaces of the food court in Almaden can be tasted inside the old factory, which has since been restored, with high ceilings and long dark wood tables.Opened in 2018, it not only boils down to just one restaurant, but combines the best of gastronomy in an incredible place, be it indoor or outdoor (esplanade). Previously part of Quinta Real do Alfeite, owned by King D. Carlos I, was one of his frequent stay points, satisfying his taste for hunting. In turn, Queen D. Amélia, his wife, took advantage of the pleasant environment to go to baths. Romeira was also known for washing clothes for Lisbon, in the ponds of the old Largo da Romeira. The region had several water springs, attracting both laundresses and water washers.

So happy that a market like this is now also on this side of the river! Is a bit hidden, so it is also a good place for the live events with music. Great places to eat, everyone can find something for their liking. Fav spot in Almada!

The market of Romeira is Located in Almada, south side of Lisbon. Around 15 min far from the bridge, in the middle of the old industrial buildings of Almada. There are Many types of restaurants, with the possibility to choose an open air or cover areas. They have food Mexican, Asian, Japanese, Portuguese, Arabic. A good place to grab a drink and speak about life, or just eat something delicious.

Great ambient, great variety of food and drinks. A place where the abandoned turns into a trending place to eat, hang-out, and socialize.

Great indoor and outdoor space with lots of shadows. Long benches and tables mean you will most certainly have to share them with other people. Super friendly staff. Great selection of wines, beers, food (either "tapas" like, burger on a plate, grilled meat (to perfection, believe me) and typical portuguese desserts (doces conventuais) make this place a hidden gem. Excelent for big families, kids, and wheelchair access to all of the restaurants and tables.

I am not a big fan of food courts (I strongly dislike the Time Out Market in Lisboa) but this place is a gem 💎
A friend of mine brought me here and I loved it. The food court is hidden in Almada but once we got inside, we got into a very cosy square with different types of restaurants and seats. There were quite a lot of people but not overcrowded on Thursday summer night. I chose the Japanese buns place and was very impressed with a mixture of spices (I genuinely didn’t expect). The food was super delicious 😋
I have also seen some pizza and sushi and other types of meals there.
Oh, alcohol was sold in a separate kiosk (this confused me a bit).
Overall the atmosphere + prices + quality of food and services + overall experience are 5/5 for my first visit.

Unexpectedly cool place in Almada with lots of different restaurants: burgers, meat, fish, pizza etc. Nice vibe. Additionally there are live concerts here as well. Highly recommended

Great place to go and have a drink or dinner. Refurbished from an industrial warehouse. Different themed bars and restaurants to choose from

Always an amazing place in the city of Almada, this restaurant area, quite vibrant, built among the ruins of old factories near the riverside

They have very nice burgers for vegetarians!!
I took chickpea one and there’s another one with beetroot, it’s nice as well. Next to the burgers they also have vegetarian pizza. For meat lovers there’s also a place fully dedicated to meat.
