O Lavrador

Traditional and old fashioned português food is amazing with house wine never go wrong.....definitely we going back and enjoying more.

Saw this place on our way to another restaurant that happened to be closed when we arrived. Since O Lavrador had caught our eye we decided to give it a try and I am so glad that we did! The restaurant was adorable inside and full of locals but we were seated quickly. We ordered the house specialty of steak on a stone and it was delicious! It was exactly the kind of simple, traditional meal we were looking for and easily became our favorite meal in Portugal so far. The cheese starter and the baked apple and red fruit cheesecake were excellent as well--don't miss out!

Food was incredible, and service was spectacular. We stopped on the way to the Sintra beaches and weren’t very hungry, but ended up devouring absolutely everything. Make sure to order the meat on the stone, and the shrimp skewer with bacon. Excellent quality and value!

A local favorite. The beef is incredibly tender and you can cut it with a butter knife. It has a good flavor and is covered in garlic and salt. You cook it yourself on a hot stone.

Some of the best meat I've ever had. Excellent price and big portion, nice service! I would recommend to anyond. The restaurant is a bit smelly because if all the grilling so take that into account for your clothes!

Amazing food! The "bife na pedra" is made with really good meat and very well seasoned. The "Sericaia" is a specialty also.

They really push the "steak on a stone", emphasizing it with large, bold, italic (that's right, bold AND italic) font, but just because they're shamelessly shoving it down your throat doesn't mean you shouldn't shove it down yours. It's delicious, font faux-paus notwithstanding. Plus, ordering the steak on a stone makes you feel a little bit like a gluttonous version of King Arthur, which is the closest thing to a hero most of us peons can aspire to.

A bit noisy depends when you go but the food is AMAZING I have ever tried beef on the rocks and it was just the best meat I ever tried especially with the sauces they give you

Delicious food. Everything was really fresh. We ordered the grilled salmon and grilled swordfish, both were amazing. Desserts were delicious too!

We just had dinner in this restaurant tonight & we had a great time with our toddler. Very kind and friendly staff and fantastic food! We tried their meat specialty cooked over a heated stone and it was absolutely delicious! We were very satisfied with the tranquil place, service, food and the fair price. We will be coming back for sure.

The Naco na Pedra was to die for,well seasoned and tender. Stone cooking is also fun! I ate outdoors in their cozy little patio,came with very nice fresh salad and fries.Had a half bottle of good Alentejo white and a double espresso afterward,and I was good to go all day. Highly recommend!

Great spot, good homy food at affordable prices..

If you love meat it's an absolute must-go. For 14€ you get a huge amount of beef that you prepare yourself on a heated stone. It's fun in itself but the taste is simply indescribable.

Had a lovely lunch here! The picanha was so juicy and delicious. Food takes a while to cook, but the service was relatively fast during a busy lunch!

Great MEAT and not just pork. Finally FRESH BEEF from the butcher; not frozen thin patties of garbage beef cooked terribly which is what I have been eating all over Portugal for the last 10 days. Thank You Lavrador for fixing my gastric experience in Portugal.

My Portuguese friends took me here to show me an authentic Portuguese meal and I was amazed by the taste of the food at the restaurant. The vinho verde was amazing too. My favorite meal was the naco da pedra. I still reminisce about the taste. So good!
