We’ve been here twice and plan to return while we are in Sintra. Warm, friendly service. Great local vibe. Delicious food. New friend in Claudio! Thank you for making my husband and I feel so welcome! A treasure not to be missed!

This truly is a gem! Delicious homemade food, we tried both, fish and meats, both were spectacular!
Surroundings are absolutely authentic and gorgeous! Don’t skip on digestive porto and espresso! We are already planning to go back!

The food there is truly amazing. Sure, the atmosphere indoors isn't the most posh, but in terms of food quality and friendliness it's highly recommended.

Super local and delicious restaurant with reasonable prices. All the senior citizens of the area is meeting here for the afternoon vine and food.

We went there late afternoon around 4 and it's usually when restaurants are closed here. They don't speak English however they were very friendly and helpful.

We ordered Cozido à portuguesa and it was enough for two of us.

I highly recommend if you are after a local experience!

We arrived in Sintra and were walking around our air bnb neighborhood when we stumbled across this restaurant. We ended going here everyday for lunch the 5 days we stayed because the food was delicious and the service we received from Claudio (and his mom, dad and brother) was incredible!! Its off the beaten path and was filled with locals, not tourists, which we appreciated. If you are ever in Sintra come here for lunch!!

Comida tradicional portuguesa, buenisima y cantidades enormes. Los dueños son muy simpaticos y agradables. Lo recomiendo al 100%

Fuimos a pasar el puente de la inmaculada en Sintra, el restaurante se encuentra en una callecita apartado de Sintra concretamente en Colares, llegamos fuera del horario de comida , pero aun así nos atendieron estupendamente, el trato por parte de los dueños expectacular, comida muy abundante y comida portuguesa muy bien servidos..
Sin duda para repetir, relación calidad precio muy buena.

Restaurante típico portugués, el dueño ha sido muy amable y nos ha servido siempre con una sonrisa. La comida es abundante, muy buena y a un precio muy justo. Estamos muy contentos!

Llegamos a este restaurante de casualidad, comida casera y abundante con mucho sabor, el dueño un encanto y muy atento, sin duda si vienes a Sintra no dudes en venir a comer aquí.

L'endroit ne paye pas de mine, hésitation j'y vais j'y vais pas ? J'y vais. Accueil chaleureux. Si vous recherchez une carte raffinée faites demi tour. Si vous recherchez des saveurs authentiques vous êtes au bon endroit. Merci merci pour votre cuisine portugaise authentique sans fioritures. Une petite carafe de vin ? Oui je choisi du vin rouge. Accueil chaleureux et malgré la barrière de la langue, nous avons été très bien reçus. Idéal pour fuir les restaurants bondés et coûteux de Sintra. Cuisine locale, simple mais généreuse et très bon marché. On recommande grandement pour qui veut vivre un repas authentique et fait maison.

Fenomenal, incomparável, excepcional. Se a tua intenção é apreciar a comida portuguesa genuína, feita com ingredientes frescos, orgânicos e desfrutar de um serviço genuinamente de portugueses, o Capitão é o lugar. Você provavelmente será atendido pelo Cláudio, o filho da chef, proprietários do restaurante. A experiência é indescritível. Te será servido um vinho da casa excepcional, azeitonas de produção regional - nada comparada àquela em conserva da maioria dos restaurantes- e pão caseiro para entrada. Quando chega o prato principal, você acredita que chegou ao paraíso. Se não fosse a 1/2 hora de Lisboa, certamente eu faria todas as minhas refeições, diariamente lá.

Ótima comida caseira, sobretudo o arroz de cabidela! Lugar agradável, familiar e acolhedor.
