Highly recommended for those seeking an authentic, heartfelt dining experience! It is an absolute gem. The owner and chef serve you directly in his restaurant, which is an extension of his home. The warmth of his hospitality is exceptional and the cuisine and authentic for the region. The owner expressed his passion for cooking both through his explanations and in the food. The prices are an extreme value for what you will receive both in the quality of food and the warmth of the service. I suggest allowing the owner to guide your experience and choose the menu.

What a great experience to walk into the owners house, he has converted the downstairs into a small boutique style restaurant. I had the oxtail which was super tender & delicious.He specialises in beef & is a must if you in the area

This restaurant is the most friendly place I’ve visited in Portugal. The owner is helpful and friendly. He took his time to explain the menu and the local delicacies. I am English and unfortunately speak no Portuguese and although the owner’s English wasn’t brilliant, he persisted to help.

Beautiful food cooked with passion by an enthusiastic chef. Classic dishes from the three regions of Al- Andaluz interpreted with a degree of sophistication that is rare in these parts. The experience was truly memorable and well worth the detour we made. Great value as well.

Hospitality in its truest sense. Tomato soup with codfish was delicious. Anchovies on bread the highlight.

A place full of iberic history represented in its decoration, the food was great, had regional sheep cheese, beans with tuna and egg, regional bull meat stewed with cabage, was simply delicious, i totally recomend this place to anyone searching for 100% regional food.

And consider yourself lucky if you can be there with the owner, José Morgado - a deep connaiseur on these matters.
