Praia Fluvial da Amieira

A very pleasant and beautiful river beach. I didn't stay until sunset, but I think it's amazing. Good fun with boats and a games court.

Great lakeside beach with facilities and parking spots. It might get very crowded in summer days but this weekend was pretty calm. Wonderful views, nice water... suitable for a whole day of swimming and water activities.

It was like a big swimming pool. It also had a few water sports you could enjoy

Beautiful river beach, grass and shade (trees and gazebos). Good restaurant. Ablution facilities with showers.

Came here with our motorhome in October 21. Unexpectedly good find for somwhere safe and quiet for a couple of days. As the beach bar and leisure business has closed for the winter there are absolutely no facilities. However Portel is only a 10 minute drive away for filling up with water, emptying waste, disposing of chemical toilet and replenishment at the nearby Intermarche while doing your laundry. The local village has some basic shops and bars as well as a brilliant restaurant called O Afficianado which is only open at lunchtime and has a delicious 3 course set meal for only €15 pp including a bottle of wine and liquor aperitif. The scenary from the car park is breathtaking and the sunsets are spectacular as we have photographed. My Wife is a landscape acrylic artist and was mesmerized by the colours and changes on the water. Loads of wildlife too. If you've found this review and it has made you.want to visit keep it quiet and treat this part of Portugal with respect as at the moment tourists are made very welcome.

Very nice place to catch some sun and swimming a little bit to cold down. Place born thanks to Alqueva Dam.

Lovely beach with many walking trail around and magnificent views. Very quiet in October but levels down.

Amazing beach with sand and grass spots to lay down, an ice-cream shop to cool down, bar to eat and drink, and boat activities to have fun with friends. Highly recommended if you are ever in the zone.

Fantastic beach. Definitely worth a visit. Blue flag. There's a cafe, a grass and sand bit, lifeguards, public toilets, outside showers.

Fantastic location to hang out for the day. We stayed overnight in our motorhome. No services do you have to be fully self sufficient, but amazing sunset. One of our favorite stop offs when in central Portugal

Beautiful spot, not too crowded. Kayaks available for hire, warm water. Perfect.

Very nice campsite by the lake and quiet. No services other than summer time.

Nice place to make some river beach , mix with the locals and relax . big sandy area, good parking , bar and toilet facilities.

Beautiful super hot weather

Quiet, chill, beautiful river beach. Van parking right next to the beach. Friendly people. Good spots for wild camping too although not entirely legal.

Perfect to cool down from the Alentejo heat. Great infrastructure, with bar/ restaurant, public toilets and showers (very clean) and umbrellas for shade. With parking for cars and caravans, and an amazing landscape, there's little to improve here (maybe the way the team runs the bar)
