Vista Alegre Atlantis, SA

Amazing spot. It is a part of Portugal's history. There's much art in porcelain. You can buy many pieces there, as well. You will take about 2 hours there. The ticket's cost is 6 EUR, but it's worth.

Great place to visit. Historic porcelain factory that dates to the 1800's. Great museum. You can watch artists do hand painting. Good main and outlet shops.

Despite being a short tour, it takes us through the timeline of the products of the Vista Alegre brand and it is amazing.
From the beginning until the end of the exposition, the pieces show how much effort was put into making them, from painting to sculpting, the handwork displayed is marvellous.

While there is an element of having a showroom of current work it doesn't distract from the excellent historical presentation. The museum is separate from the showroom and is filled with historical pieces and human stories of the factory. Afterwards we looked at the ceramics used by restaurants and AirB&B service. Most was from this factory.

Really enjoyed the visit, the museum is a history of pottery from a Portuguese view. Quite fascinating.

This is one of those places you are really happy to have visited. The old porcelain kilns are themselves enough of an attraction but there is more - not least the storks on the chimneys.

A place worth a visit. Give it 2 0r 3 hours, and get your wallet ready if you visit any of the shops: marvellous things are waiting for you!!!
