Restaurante Almeida (Portimão)

Decent authentic Portuguese food, at slightly expensive prices. We ordered sardines and a pork/mussels specialty, which were both very good. The waiter was friendly and took our order promptly, which we liked. The portions were decently sized and we left with a full stomach, always a positive. I also had a coffee at the end of the meal, which was better than most places. If I have one negative, it's the fact that it was a bit overpriced for the location.

Amazing food!! The quality was fresh! I recommend the lamb and mint! The sauce was stunning and the kids pork dinner with chips and veg, was a very good size! Highly recommend this tasty food! Full of flavour!! Friendly service too!

The food was great, typical portuguese menu which is apreciated from me. The servers with us were very kind but we speak portuguese so probably had a bit of influence there as well

We just had an amazing meal here ..beautiful couvert ..fantastic sea bass and deserts to die for ..with great wine ..the service is fantastic with polite friendly staff ..🔝

The easiest 5 star I’ve ever given. We had to start a selection of breads with cheese, sardine pate the local carrots and olives. Then came the little sardines deep fried in batter. Careful they are red hot but amazing then a fantastic main dish of beautifully fresh and wonderfully cooked sea bass. It came with boiled potatoes cauliflower and broccoli. Dessert, no room stuffed and just a fabulous coffee to finish. Manuel and Francisco made us feel so welcome and really couldn’t do enough for us.
Honestly if I could score it higher I would.... Don’t miss this place..!!

I was not able to eat better prepared fish in Algarve. Fresh bread, great shrimps.
Many reviews here are about Service, which I agree - could be better, but if you are nice and patient, you will not regret visit here.

We loved this family owned Portuguese restaurant, we tried a few others and none came close to this one. If you love fish your going to love this restaurant. It beats the posh restaurants we attend.

My wife and I dropped in the second day in Portimao.
The place looked nice and welcoming and very clean.
We were not mistaken. Returned three times for lunch.

The food was excellent (Fish fresh right out of the sea- La Paella hmmmm! better than any other I have had (even mine) )
The service exceptional.
I would recommend this to anyone in town.

Did I forget to mention they make a "killer" Sangria?
To cap off the meal, ask Almeida for a taste of their Portos.
Bring a good cigar.

Nous sommes très surpris des avis négatifs, Nous sommes venus deux fois pendant notre séjour tellement la cuisine était bonne. Vraiment un lieu familial et très agréable ; La salade de poulpe est vraiment très bonnes foncé si vous avez l’occasion d’y goûter.
Le seul petit bémol : parfois le service est un peut long.

Uma verdadira pérola escondida na marina de Portimão! Comida de excelência, com ingredientes frescos e tudo muito muito saboroso!! Lugar perfeito, com vista para a marina e por do sol! Todos os funcionários foram super agradáveis, simpáticos e prestativos! Recomendo vivamente, não só para turistas mas para quem aprecia uma boa refeição tradicional portuguesa.

Sempre que vou ao Algarve passo no restaurante Almeida. Somos muito bem atendidos. Comemos e bebemos bem. Pagamos razoável. Tenho de avisar que gente chata não é bem vinda. Já assisti a diversas situações em que o cliente não tem razão e sai de lá aborrecido. Recomendo o restaurante a toda a gente, menos a gente chata.

A pesar de leer los malos comentarios, paramos allí a tomar algo rápido por entrar al baño, que a diferencia de lo que leí estaban impolutos. Una vez miramos la carta decidimos quedarnos a comer.
El trato del personal excelente al decir que íbamos a comer nos cambiaron a una mesa más amplia porque nosotras nos habíamos sentado en una más pequeña, estuvieron atentos en todo momento de que todo estuviera perfecto y no nos faltara de nada.
Y respecto a la comida me pedí un bistec a la pimienta riquísimo y de postre el mousse... uff espectacular no he probado otro mejor en mi vida.
Recomiendo lo probéis, yo repetiré si vuelvo a ir de vacaciones.
