What a lovely restaurant right next to the beach. The atmosphere was great, chill and pretty laid back. We didn't have a reservation as we went at an odd time, but the place was still busy. So would recommend booking during busy season. We only had a couple of drinks and some appetisers but they were pretty good! I am sure the main courses would have been amazing, but we didn't try as we weren't really hungry. But the vibe is pretty chill so would definitely recommend.

Fabulous location, right on the beach Praia dos Caneiros, we stop only for drinks on the way back from Trail of Headlands.

We had a lovely experience here watching the sunset on the beach and then going inside for dinner. We had some fresh fish, which was good, though I get the sense that shellfish may be more of the specialty. A bit expensive, but clearly you are also paying for the setting and the views. The staff were quite friendly and attentive, and were able to customize for our dietary restrictions and preferences.

Great food. Incredible, unbelievable location at one of the most beautiful beaches ever. Only if the waiters were nice.

I cannot say enough positive things about our evening at Rei das Praias. Our server Anna, was amazing. She made thoughtful recommendations, and was absolutely delightful. The meal was perfection from the appetizers to the main course. We were even treated to a surprise dessert as we were celebrating a milestone anniversary. The setting is lovely. Highly recommend. Suggest making reservations as it is a popular local spot.

Excellent service. We had cataplana and fried calamari. Price reasonable.
They have vegetarian options (more could be added).

We had a wonderful meal and enjoyed the service. It is seen as expensive to some but we didn’t notice it to be overly high. We enjoyed a bottle of wine, calamari, seafood rice and pavlova.

Up on the rooftop, the servers created a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. View and location is amazing.

Amazing is the only way to describe Rei das Praias. The food is excellent, freshest seafood, wonderful wine list, and the location is gorgeous, right on the beach. Service was excellent! We had a good laugh with our waiter, and he was warm and lovely. I had a cataplana which is a local seafood stew, and it was absolutely delicious.

Great seafood restaurant located in a pretty beach. Food was very tasty and service was excellent. The air conditioned restaurant on the ground floor is a great option for lunch whilst the deck/rooftop is ideal for watching sunset and sipping cocktails.

Great lunch spot right on the beach. Lunch with a view. Service was fabulous and food was wonderful, monkfish and prawns with good rose wine. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Amazing experience with excellent service!!! The food is great, we had the shrimp risotto and the fish “espetada” with vegetables. Couvert is worth and the “pistachio tiramisu” is the best I ever had. 5 STAR Restaurant with stunning view!!

A phenomenal meal in a truly fantastic setting. The service was above and beyond, friendly and attentive - they even went the extra mile to help keep our toddler entertained. The calamari were some of the best I’ve ever had, and the arroz con mariscos was delicious.

The ambience, the service, staff and most importantly the food was amazing, fresh fish fresh salad, fresh meat tasted so nice it was worth every penny, the view overlooking the sea added to the experience of this restaurant definitely recommend

View was amazing. The oysters and Stone Bass fish(photo not included) were the best meals I had in Algarve. Seriously!!

Very nice atmosphere on a rooftop overlooking the ocean, great food, and overall pleasant experience. Prices are a bit steep, but it was expected. It’s all coming together very well, and I can recommend this place!

By far the best food and beach we went to during our stay in Carvoeiro. Would love to come back one day!

At the end it is a beach shed. However, the food is awesome, service great and the view stunning. Sitting in the sun with a gin tonic, looking over the Atlantic and enjoying a perfect meal. The signature dish is the Arroz de Marisco - order it!

If you want to have a perfect day in southern Portugal, go to the beautiful and quiet Caneiros beach near Ferragudo en treat yourself with a lunch on the roof of this beach restaurant. The best tigerprawns ever, marvelous views and an unequalled service (thank you Paolo!) will make your day as perfect as it can be. Do not hesitate, just go there!
